Oh shit! I was wondering if you'd ever react to this. It's amazing! Oh and yes it is a popular game series, especially Witcher 3, and those are loosely based off the books. You can almost call them an unofficial sequel to the books. This show is more directly connected to the books.

Yes Shan, Henry Cavil did do a lot of his own stuns/fightscenes. He did a youtube video for Men's Health about the training he did for the show.

Everyone reacts to Marilka negatively after she tells Geralt to leave. I always saw that scene as her telling him to leave for his own safety. She wasn't happy about saying it. I've also never liked the GoT comparisons. The books were written before ASOIAF and outside of medieval style combat there is no real comparison.
