Shan, your question about if the cold gun would freeze the lasers would work. Yes and no. No, because you can't "freeze" a laser. Yes, because the the gun can't exist either. It supposedly turns anything it hits to absolute zero, which is impossible. But, if we just accept that the gun exists and works as explained in the show, then yes...maybe. It is possible that at absolute zero, the photons in the laser beam would stop moving...however, the question doesn't really make sense, as absolute zero can't exist. So, it's not something that has a really good answer.

Actually, there are solid state lasers. They are not widespread and only provide certain types of uses. The lasers in the vault, however would simply be beams of light that you could not freeze.

> The question doesn't really make sense, as absolute zero can't exist If we wait long enough....

Solid state lasers don't operate at absolute zero, the "solid" in the name means that the device itself is solid as opposed to having a liquid or gas canister. We can slow down lasers, and speed=temperature (Yes, they aren't strictly the same thing, but they are deeply related). So, if we assume that a device existed which could reduce the temperature of a target to absolute zero, it is possible that it could actually freeze the photons in a laser beam (Snart would need to freeze the laser emitters, and the detectors as well for it to work as shown in the episode). Of course said device doesn't exist, and it would violate pretty much every law of nature that we're aware of. But, this is a fantasy universe, with people who can teleport, run through time, etc... If we accept those things as real, then we should accept the cold gun as well. Therefore, the answer to Shan's question is "Maybe? It isn't crazy to think it could work in that universe, but according to current understanding of physics, it couldn't work in our universe."

Love your reaction to the flash. Something to look forward to on Friday apart from the weekend.

Shan: “I’m so dumb. What show do I think I’m watching.” You’re so adorable 😊
