she wasn't very good in the supergirl movie. Dean's acting has gotten wooden since Lois and Clark.

I really like how we get to see a more human side of Cat in this episode. She shows "Kira" that she does care about her. Even if she is usually a little mean it's only because she wants her to be better. Kara may have a (foster) mother but Cat is her role model and mentor, she's the person who is truly teaching Supergirl how to be a hero. Also, Calista Flockhart steals pretty much any scene she is in, she's such a great actress.

that time with clark there was kryptonite involved and this time there wasn't and on top of that smallville had a bunch of stuff happen because of kryptonite but it hasn't been established in this universe that it does anything but hurt kryptonians. I like the stuff on Smallville but kryptonite was alot more abundent on there because of the meteor shower and it was a plot device that was used to create alot villians or issues because they needed something as a catalyst for superpowered stuff all time

plus about the actress playing the mom i don't get why think she is so bad. yes the supergirl movie wasn't great but everything about that wasn't great. she hasn't been bad in anything else i've seen at least in my opinion. she wasn't bad on smallville, supernatural or this. not any better or worse any another other guest actor. plus for a superman fan i just love when the bring in people from past stuff like having her and dean cain who was superman in lois and clark they had several cameos like that on smallville and its cool everytime. to me at least.

Cat Grant is starting to grow on me. That line about "wit of a youtube comment" was great! Anyone else getting the feeling she might know that Kara is Supegirl, like not realizing it yet, but something in the back of her mind is saying "Pay closer attention to Kara". I'm in the same boat as you about the mom, I skip that episode of Supernatural any time I rewatch. Also, I'm kinda glad that James is with Lucy because I have no interest in seeing a relationship between him and Kara. Livewire was a good villain, though the story was kinda predictable.
