I just finished watching this episode and hated most of it. I then noticed you posted your reaction on YouTube. I figured I'd see if you felt the same (no way could I sit through the full reaction). Glad (sorry?) to see you enjoyed about as little as I did. I was also annoyed by the Andrea kiss scene.

I'm at the 12:00 mark. Is ANYONE going to want to watch this? This show feels like the cast is pulling a practical joke... ... on THEMSELVES. Cancellation in... 3... 2... 1...

Yeah, the Andrea kiss thing was so very tokenism. It was cringy. And even the whole thing of her being some gay icon, and they just couldn't portray her as gay back then was ridiculous. There are many tv characters from the past that you can say would have been gay, but they couldn't do that back then, or that if they made it now they would have made them gay, but Andrea was not one of those characters.

I watched your youtube reaction. Couldn't make it through the full version on the first try. Tori Spelling hasn't change much. She got the 90210 job because her dad was executive producer. That's also how she got the parts on Fantasy Island and The Love Boat when she was 10-11 years old - she was a below average child actor.... Mercedes McNab did a movie cameo at the same age and nailed it. That reminds me; I should be watching something better. I'll rewatch Harm vs. Xander, that'll do... :)

Well, I'm alone in my thoughts I'm thinking 😆 I very much enjoyed the first episode. The original show aired when I was about 5 or 6 I think... I watched it from thr begining to the end many times. My crush was on Brandon. This was not what I was expecting but I was still clapping my hands and screeching with joy when they all got on screen and referenced something from the original show. I for sure will be one to watch more. As for the Gabby thing, I remember hearing something back when the show was first airing that she COULD be interested in women but because the time wasn't really for it she kept her true feelings to herself. Not sure if it was true or not but thiz could be her true self shinning through... Guess we may never really know.

So you're actually named after two actresses from the show: Shannon (Doherty) and Weird Spelling (Tori)! Yeah, I'm so funny I did watch the show growing up, until I got tired of it (3-4 seasons, maybe?), it was quite big here

I liked it so far bc I think it's a comedy I'll keep watching as long as it makes me laugh and Dillon(Luke) would've been my crush bc I'm just 3 years older than him!🙄⚘❣

I'll probably watch at least the next episode. They seem to be playing themselves the same way James Van Der Beek was playing himself on Don't Trust the B... in Apt 23 but this is more of a comedy-drama. I am old and watched the original series from the beginning and had already seen Jason Priestley, Jennie Garth and Shannen Doherty on previous shows. I'm surprised that Tiffani Thiessen wasn't at least mentioned since she was actually in more episodes than Shannen Doherty.

I watched the 90210 reboot first, and while that was airing, the original aired on some cable network, and I watched it like that. I like the original, but it was slow at times, and I don't think I could have binged it. I totally get how you got burned out every few seasons. There were some moments in this that I enjoyed. The line "I don’t know. I only went to fake high school," was my favorite. And I thought the tributes to Luke were sweet. I agree about the Gabrielle (Andrea) storyline. It seemed forced, especially since the actress is straight in real life. Like if she wanted Andrea to be a lesbian in the original show, that’s fine. Have her say that at the panel. Don’t shoehorn this in there just so you can claim your show has a gay character to get brownie points. If the actress really identified as bi then I’d be all for them exploring that in the show, but I’ve seen no evidence of that. As far as I know she’s just an ally. I believe we need more LGBT+ representation in media, and coming out late in life is a thing, but I just wasn’t a fan of it in this case. I also totally resented the lack of Shannen Doherty. She’s not my favorite from the original, and Prue is probably my least favorite on Charmed, but I really wanted to see more of her in this for some reason. I think she should have appeared in person at that panel and stolen the show to create some much needed drama. I knew going in that they were playing themselves (sort of), but I thought it would be more of a comedy, and maybe it would have been better that way. I really think they should have cut the runtime in half and gone way more over the top. I mean if you're going to play yourself, be outrageous with it. James Van Der Beek did a fantastic job playing himself, and making fun of himself, in Don’t Trust the B**** in Apt 23 and that’s the tone I expected from this show. I just wasn’t that into the drama parts of the episode. That stuff was a bit boring to me. Honestly, I think I would have preferred a straight up continuation because I can see this premise getting old very fast the way they’re doing it. I barely made it through the episode a second time, but I really wanted to see your thoughts. I never judge a show on the first episode, because they are almost always less than great, so I'll give it another chance, but I doubt I stick with it for long if the rest of it is like this.
