Just James. Patreon member. Squeaky bum time because this episode has horror elements. This is the first episode of the revived series to use a quarry as an alien planet — quarries were frequently used in the classic series your dad used to watch and RTD was not a fan of this production decision. Billie Piper's former husband Chris Evans (English TV presenter and radio DJ) was planned to voice The Beast. Gabriel Woolf was only cast after the episode had been written and filmed. This episode is the first to feature the bright orange Sanctuary Base 6 space suits, I have one myself only it’s black shorter and comes with a hood, the people of this realm call it a hoodie. This is the first story since The 7th’s Doctor story The Greatest Show in the Galaxy to take place entirely on an alien planet. The Ood were given long facial fronds and a translation device to avoid the need for an expensive mouthpiece or complex animatronics. Very Alien-esque horror/sci-fi movie type episode, two questions did it scare you? And how long would you last in a horror movie? Cabin in the woods or space station scenario take your pick, I would be dead within half n hour not the first but certainly not the hero. He is awake. Toodle pip

yes, so right I thought that too first time watching in 2006, this Doctor and Rose's chemistry seems so much better than that of Chris Eccleston and Rose, felt it was better. Toodle dip.. i mean lip... no pip.

Ok I tried this, I ended up as a last minute victim. The quiz didn't answer what "goop" was and it was my sole intention to survive just so I could figure that shit out. But the quiz had other plans and stabbed me in the back. To anyone reading this. Please... This episode has one of my favourite movie tropes, an archaeolgical and scientific team finds a long lost civilization and end up awakening an ancient evil that was imprisoned for thousands of years, even though there were lots of warnings (the writing that the TARDIS couldn't translate?)., I've seen this in stuff like The Mummy. What do you think of this cliche out of curiosity?

Well, they drilled into a planet to find a mysterious ultra power source. Instead the free a trapped being that kills young women, for no reason that I can determine. From what "The Beast" is saying, its Satan/Lucifer. They accidentally freed the Devil. Quick, someone call Amenadiel. Or maybe in this case Michael and Sam and Dean. Jack would probably be best because Chuck was no help.
