Sadly, it was during this episode that the cast & crew were informed by Syfy the show would not be renewed for an 11th year which I sure had to damper the 200th episode celebration. I absolutely love this episode for not just poking fun at themselves, but also Hollywood trends in general. The whole line about ticking clock plus danger & then putting a countdown timer on the screen was a shot at the show 24 which was still doing really good in the ratings You're reaction to the Furlings reveal in the previously on was exactly the same reaction I had & probably most people did. What the hell is this, this never happened & why to the Furlings look so cheap. I love when it cuts to the briefing room & you realize it was just a joke The "younger edgier reboot" almost happened. While maybe not as cheesy, a similar idea was reportedly one of the ideas Amazon floated around when talking about reviving Stargate. Thankfully they have gotten enough feedback that whatever they do, good or bad will be a continuation of what has come before. For Richard Dean Anderson, it had been announced he would be back for the 200th episode. They way they keep using him without seeing him though made me think it would be a voice only just to play off the joke about having to work around him not being there so when he did show up on screen That surprised me. He was physically on set too for the invisible O'Neill scenes. He insisted he be the one to wear the full body green spandex because he thought it would be fun

So glad you recognised the Farscape reference!

>>> !!!FOR SHANNAN!!! <<< 1. We finally met the Furlings! Well... It was all in Marty's head so it's not exactly true ....But what else would the Furlings look like?? ...How could you NOT. expect them to look like a bunch of dressed up space koala's? ......Plottwist ...The Furlings have been living in Australia this entire time? 2. Daniel: "Who makes a movie out of a show that only lasted 3 episodes?" ...Teal'c: "It allegedly performed well on DVD" ...That was a dig at Firefly just FYI 3. Marty: "...Something cool like face switching or body swapping" ...Vala: "Ha! As if anyone would believe that!" ......Yeah nah ...Nobody has ever used a device on this show and body swapped with a person in another galaxy .......Right?? ....Vala? ....I love how the showrunners even takes jabs at their own show 4. The 200th episode's goodest cameo ...RDA's dog Zoe behind the wheel as O'neill is pranking people while he's invisible ...This was Zoe's 2nd appearance on the show ...The first time she appeared was back in Season 4 as Kinsey's dog "Oscar" 5. The entire bit of O'neill being invisible was actually a clever way the writers came up with since they weren't sure at the time of writing that RDA was going to be there ....Ofcourse he showed up .....The scene with Teal'c and "him" in the hallway was actually going to be a stunt double aswell ....But since RDA was more than happy to be part of the 200th episode and was there the day that scene got filmed ....He happily suited up in a green outfit and so that is ACTUALLY. RDA walking next to Christopher Judge in that scene 6. I like that Carter said that they invented some negative side-effects to O'neill's invisibility so that they could talk him into cooperating to become visible again ....Part of me would actually believe that would be the only way to convince him to become visible again 7. Not only was Daniels reference to a ticking clock on the screen a dig at the TV show "24" ....It was also the show creators taking a shot at the network for often giving them notes saying that they wanted to see more jeopardy.. Ticking clock.. Ticking clock ..More jeopardy! 8. Marty tries to write down what Carter said about the gate not working cause she refused to repeat herself ....He used the words Flux Capacitor .....Not sure why the gate has a flux capacitor installed into it Marty! ...Cause last time I checked ...According to the documentary Back To The Future ...A flux capacitor is what makes time travel possible ..Think McFly! 9. Cheyenne Mountain blows up ....Marty: "And that's the end of act 2!" ...Which was also the end of act 2 of the actual episode .....Also love Shank's cold delivery "The mountain blows up?" .....Also ..."Hanging a lantern on it" is actually a thing writers do ....Pointing out the fact that something is convenient is a way to have the audience ACCEPT. that it's convenient and so that the story can move along ..Although if you ask me it's a lame way of writing an easy way out of a tough situation 10. Although Star Trek from memory was never as quirky ...Teal'c having an open uniform DOES. somewhat hint towards how Star Trek uses sex appeal to sell to their audience ...From what I know (but I've never watched it) the original show usually had Kirk sell the show with sex appeal and shows later on often have had a female character in a skin-tight uniform to appeal to the nerds 11. Those phones Teen SG-1 are using have got some excellent range ....Teen Teal'c is calling Teen Daniel from space! ....All that was needed was a logo showing up for whichever phone brand they were using 12. And Marty got a text saying the budget for the movie was cut ...He's asked why that's such a bad thing ....Marty: "This totally screws up the end of act 3" ...Mitchell: "What happens at the end of act 3?" ...Marty: "With these cuts not much! ...At this point the scene might aswell just end!" ...Aaaaaaand the episode fades to black .....Cause this was the end of act 3 13. I love how Carter, Daniel and Teal'c were just all onboard with trying to make Mitchell believe he was actually O'neill's son ....The way Daniel started a joke and Carter and Teal'c instantly went along with it showed how close they are as a team ....Ofcourse it was all just a joke and Mitchell ISN'T the son of O'neill due to some events during that 1969 episode from Season 2 .....But still ...The way they played off eachother there was pretty cool and also pretty funny 14. Blink and you'll miss it scene during the puppet skit ....The keyboard Puppet Walter is typing on isn't your regular keyboard ...It actually has a hidden message on it saying "Alex sucks dicks" ....Possible a little jab at one of the script coordinators for the show Alex Levine .....Also not the first time we've seen the keyboards at the SGC have hidden messages on them ....Another one was in an earlier episode back when Dr Frasier was still alive ...She was typing on a keyboard where some of the letters spelled out "Huge boobs" 15. The bit where Puppet Hammond says he wants the gate to spin is a jab at the fact Stargate SG-1 used 2 gate props during the course of the show ....One was the one used on location which was just a stationary prop ....The other was the one used on the SGC set which had the moving inner ring with the constellations on it 16. Props to the people on Patreon who have come to Discord ....For never using the Teal'c "Indeed" gif of him as the private investigator ....Good job! 17. Aight ...Apparently Marty doesn't ship Carter and O'neill ...Rude 18. Yeeeeaah.. Marty saying the movie was cancelled but that the show was renewed was a jab at how the SG-1 showrunners always had a plan to create a movie but how it was sidelined since the show kept getting renewed 19. The actress playing the Wormhole X-Treme equivalent of Carter says that her character needed more development and that maybe she should have taken up golf is a bit of a jab at Christopher Judge who would often go golfing with some of the producers of the show ....The running joke was Christopher Judge went golfing with them to get his character more interesting storylines .....Which ...May or may not be true that he did it for that reason ....I wouldn't blame him if it was ...It's a good move ....Or maybe the dude just likes golf ..I dunno 20. The cast found out the day before this episode aired that Stargate SG-1 was cancelled ...It wasn't until a few days AFTER. this episode aired that they found out about the 2 TV movies which you will get to at some point ...So Marty saying that the Wormhole X-Treme movie was back on wasn't a hint at the upcoming movies... That was purely coincidental
