Topher 😃

I never much cared for this episode or this type of episode in general. I think Buffy is about the only one that ever did this right and yet they keep trying. That said it isn't quite as bad as I remember and might have been more enjoyable have they abandoned the pointless questioning part earlier and gotten straight to the nanites.

I havent caught up yet so i dont know what you think (im planning to catch up soon) But reading the synopsis i absolutely LOVE these type of episodes. I always find them fun. I guess im the opposite of Topher 😅

Especially when they already had this type of episode just last season. A little bit last episode too, but just a bit.

>>> !!!FOR SHANNAN!!! <<< 1. Right ....Nobody in your house watched MASH... I guess I'm just confused since you've claimed on several occasions to be annoyed with the theme song ...The only logical conclusion ofcourse is that your TV was haunted by an angry spirit who liked watching the show on repeat all throughout the late hours of the night ....The fact that none of you had any experience with exorcism ofcourse made it impossible to turn the tv off and thus led to you loathing the theme song ...It all makes perfect sense now 2. Obviously RDA was able to guest star in this episode cause he was in the neighbourhood anyways .....But I'm wondering if this even makes sense storywise ...Why would a General (supposedly in charge of a secret program) even entertain the idea of visiting a person in the psych ward claiming to know things about some secret program? .....They'd already be able to write Weir off as being insane ...Why make whatever she's saying sound more credible by answering her request to meet her? 3. Oh really mah dude?? You spoke with the Pentagon and they said there's no such thing as the Stargate program?? ....And there's also no Atlantis expedition to another galaxy?? ....Man... You'd THINK. that the Pentagon would disclose such information to any random person who'd call them ....Right? 4. Psych Dude to Weir: "I talked with your mother.. She told me how as a child you had a brief phase where you dreamed of becoming an astronaut ....Sometimes childhood fantasies can offer a peaceful refuge from the harsh reality of adult life" ........I'm sorry ...How does that compare to adult Weir's SUPPOSED. psychosis??? ....Is he saying that every child who has ever dreamed of becoming an astronaut should be committed to a looney bin?? 5. Yeeeeeeaaah... Weir's psych ward is fancy ...She has access to computers which are hooked up to the internet ...I remember my brief stay at a psych ward and all we had were some boring boardgames and books ...No internet ANYWHERE. in that building I stayed in for 1.5 weeks 6. Soooo technically this is a bit of a 2 parter ...Not in any official capacity ...But the events at the end of 3x05 seem to be continuing into this one ...Interesting 7. Yeah that's kinda odd... This is the 2nd episode this week where a character looks into a mirror and they're hallucinating that they are faceless ....Weird coincidence? ..I think yes 8. Some things about the end of this episode that don't add up ....HOW. was Sheppard able to communicate with Weir? Why would Niam (Knee-ehm) allow that to happen if his goal was to take her over?? ....And why would walking through the open gate and waking up disable the nanites inside her body? 9. Unlike you ...I found this episode to be somewhat interesting... But keep in mind I've ACTUALLY. been committed at one point and I've also lived half my life going from one appointment to the other where I was often surrounded by people with all kinds of mental health issues ....I wouldn't say the episode was a bad representation of the way psych wards are in the real world ....I've seen people like the ones depicted in this episode and aside from a few subtle differences the psych ward came off as looking true to life aswell ......Is this a good episode?? ...No ....Is it a bad one?? No ...NOT. to diminish anything you're going through and have went through in the past ...We crazies (and I'm reserving the right to joke about the fact we're crazy cause we ARE. crazy and that's OK! It's nothing to be ashamed of!) ...We crazies all have our own history with our issues ....This episode wasn't good ...It wasn't bad ...It was ok ...Just ...Ok (my opinion ..deal with it)
