Moving along with the re-branding of artworks explained in a previous post, I came across an artwork of Renamon that I did in January of 2010, called "Renamon Rina".

When I was about to change the web address of it, it turned out that I couldn't find the original file anywhere!

I remembered about a hard drive malfunction that I suffered around February of 2010 (I even made a comic about it). I realized that it might have been one of those artworks that I lost that day, most likely destroyed with the hard drive itself. It would make sense since the dates seem to be really close to each other.

So, I ended up making a small fix to the original artwork, as you might see in the link I shared. However, I also wondered how it would look if I made it all over again  because I could clearly do a better job now.

For some odd reason, I always liked the original artwork. Even today I think it's pretty good for being one of my first digital pieces, but I could never figure WHY  I liked it exactly... until recently.

Apparently, it might have to do with the movement and expression that the figure has, something that I did without knowing the reason behind it.

I'm aware that this might not be your style of artwork because of it's nature, but you have to admit there's a HUGE gap between the quality of these pictures.

I took the liberty to alter the design of Renamon a bit, to reference my old artwork more than anything else, changing the background for something more Digital and technological to fit the nature of the character. In fact, that was my original intention, even back in 2010. I just couldn't design the setting properly.

Another thing that I forgot to mention about why I'm taking my time to edit these old artworks is because many of them were displayed only on DeviantArt for a long time.

Now that I'm sharing them in places like Blogger, Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and sometimes even Pinterest, I don't want people to think that what they're seeing is my current quality. Or if they don't mind the old quality, they are now able to find me with this new address, and they can see all the recent artworks that I have to share with them :)

If you're familiar with the internet, you might know that any kind of digital artworks end up in the most unexpected places and corners of the web, without the artists being able to do anything about it. That's why I think a proper ID could give people a little bit of curiosity to search for the original artist (That's only if the shared picture even has the ID).

Hopefully I'm not boring you with these modifications and "remakes" of previous pictures, but I think it's a necessary change now that these artworks are going through unexplored places.

I'll see you in the next update, keep being awesome! d(ouo)b

Wow. She actually looks quite nice here. And comparing to the old Picture, it's great to see how much you have improved. Good job.

I dunno if you noticed, this time I decided to leave the soft shading aside. I just wanted to know how it would look using a similar style of shading that I used back in the day, but with more details. :) and It looks just goood
