Do you follow the cryptocurrency space? Did you almost/partially lose your shit over the Bitcoin double spend story, earlier today? I certainly did...it's since been largely debunked (could be my confirmation bias talking.) But as miserable as that felt, i found some solace thinking if bitcoin really does fail, it might kind of prove the existence of God and/or that we are in a simulation; no matter how mathematically perfect a system like BTC is, it collapses without an ordering intelligence.

Ah well, crisis averted and God goes back to being unproven.
