Avēte, sodālēs! 🤠 I am happy to announce the new Tribūnī tier for patrons pledging $2 or more. The first tier patrons, the Equitēs, will continue to have access to all the material they had at their disposal before, including hundreds of hours of audio recordings including Familia Romana, samples of literature, and my Latin song performances. In addition, the Tribūnī patrons will gain access to the newest series designed just for them: the «Recitātiōnēs Pinguī Minervā».

The phrase "pinguī Minervā" is a Latin idiom meaning literally "by means of a fat Minerva," the goddess of reason and inspiration, and means something like "in a less than perfect manner."

This weekly series will feature recordings of mine that make great listening material while driving, doing chores, or while taking a walk. While all my Latin recordings feature the best pronunciation and performance I can muster in the moment, in the interest of providing my Tribūnī tier patrons as much material as possible, I will be editing the recordings of «Recitātiōnēs Pinguī Minervā» very little or none at all — hence "pinguī Minervā." ☺️

The first text we will treat in the «Recitātiōnēs Pinguī Minervā» series is the AMPHITRYO by Plautus, an exceedingly hilarious comedy written in the 2nd century BC. In addition to full audio treatment of the entire Ørberg edition of this work (the recordings may therefore be very useful for teachers), the PDF of the LLPSI version of Amphitryō will be attached with posted recording.

Thank you for your constant support! It means the world to me to be able to share these things with people who love them as much as I. 🦂😊🌵
