An add on to the tutorial post because I felt like that was getting too long lol





Posing: A note about posing in general is the opposite slant rule. The figure's shoulders and hips should be pointing in opposite directions for a pose to read more natural/balanced.

It's similar to how the right arm will be forward with the left leg when walking.

*As I crudely try to illustrate here, a good pose will have a clear, legible silhouette.
The silhouette rule is used more in animation since drawings move quickly and need to be able to be registered fast. I like to use it because it helps create a more dynamic drawing . At least, I think so.
