> Buy a lot of stuff

You go around and buy a ton of stuff using your sizable reward. Before that though, you offload the Bandit Pants, though it doesn't sell for much.

[REMOVED BANDIT PANTS]

[OBTAINED 10 GOLD]

Plenty of rations for the road, and to keep Myla satisfied.

[OBTAINED RATION X 20]

[REMOVED 200 GOLD]

Some tomes to learn some magic. Upon buying them and taking a quick look, you learn how to cast some basic spells.

[OBTAINED FLAME TOME]

[OBTAINED STONE TOME]

[REMOVED 200 GOLD]

[LEARNED SPELL: EMBER]

[LEARNED SPELL: TORCH]

[LEARNED SPELL: STONE]

Some assorted equipment. The crossbow is light and can be used in one hand, but does take a little longer to reload. The staff is a good two-handed magic weapon, and the focus glove is a decent one-handed magic weapon.

[OBTAINED CROSSBOW]

[OBTAINED STAFF]

[OBTAINED FOCUS GLOVE]

[REMOVED 160 GOLD]

Supplies.

[OBTAINED 4 HP POTION]

[OBTAINED 4 EN POTION]

[REMOVED 160 GOLD]

... and some nice clothes.

[OBTAINED SHORT DRESS]

[REMOVED 30 GOLD]

After all that, you are left with 310 gold, which is pretty good considering you bought nearly everything of use. While shopping, you thought you saw Myla for a few moments as well. She likely bought some stuff before heading back to the inn.

> Talk to Large Elderly Man

With shopping done, you decide to move on and speak with the local townsfolk. Your attention is immediately caught by a very large elderly human tending some plants near the local chapel. Well, you think human, but as you get closer, he looks more and more like a giant! The man is easily nine feet tall and gives off a feeling of great power and strength, dispite his age. You can tell that this is a man who has experienced a lot in his life. He notices you and gives you a warm smile.

"Hello there, lass." The giant of a man cheerfully greets you. "You're a new face, I'd say. What brings you to our small town?" You tell him that you're an adventurer passing through. "Adventurer, you say? You know, I've done my share of 'venturing as well! Ah, but I'm getting ahead of myself. My name is Dulstaft Marson. I take care of the chapel when I'm here in town, though I do tend to be travelling most of the time." You nod and introduce yourself as well. "Floria, hm? A very nice name!" He seems to be a very cheerful and peaceful man. As you are talking, he suddenly seems distracted by something beside him. "Hm? Oh, she's here as well? So they are travelling together. Perhaps she can..." He suddenly turns back to you. "Oh, my apologies! Let me ask, is it true that you and Myla are travelling together?" You nod and ask how he knew, and who he was talking to. He gives you a laugh. "You'll likely think me mad like everyone else, but the goddess told me! She's actually standing right here beside me. I don't blame you if you don't believe me though. I understand that it's hardly a claim to take lightly!" He lets out another hearty laugh.

Dulstaft seems pretty knowledgable about the area, and seems to know Myla as well. You might be able to learn quite a bit from him, assuming he isn't crazy, that is.

I know I said before that there wouldn't be "spells" and instead the magic would be more freeform. Well, these spells are things you can definately cast. You can try other things, but they will have a chance of failure. Quick description of the three spells we learned:

Ember: Light fire magic damage on a single target. Quick cast.

Torch: Emit light from your weapon. Useful for travelling at night or in dark areas.

Stone: Light physical damage on a single target. Quick cast.

Also, I pretty much just pick the useful purchases from the comments when choosing to buy stuff.

You're always going to need rations, so I went with the highest amount said. 10 potions is a bit much though, so I just went with tritrium's idea of 4. You guys can't just like chug potions in battle to stay alive. :V

The two tomes will come in handy if we encounter an enemy resistant to physical damage. Well, the flame tome anyway. Stone magic is mostly physical. :V

Some new weapons will give you guys more options. Equiping a different weapon in combat takes a single action, so keep that in mind.

I'll also auto-equip the dress when we're in peaceful areas like inns and such. Myla also has some now, so she'll do the same.

Speaking of Myla, she bought a few supplies. Mostly potions that she'll automatically use. She also got some new armor. She's still gonna wear Konic's Jacket with it though, because reasons. :V

Also, yay! Dulstaft!

Protip: Don't fight him. Like ever. He would stomp you. Literally. He's super hard to make angry though, so you shouldn't have to worry about accidentally starting a fight with him. :V
