    One of the new mechanics in the upcoming build will be the ability to add your own custom units into Vessel Tactics. Though you won't be able to give them any custom attacks or skills for a while still, the units will be fully functional in the lobby and I'm hoping I can give them some basic functionality in battle, as well. The process of adding them in itself should be very straightforward and simple, but you will need to source your own custom assets specifically for the game. That said, here are the requirements if you would like to mod your own unit in:

 - All images of the character must be 2048x2048 transparent .png images.
- The character's placement within the image isn't important, though it must not change from image to image. Their scale can be adjusted in-game, but they should snugly fit within the image's borders for the best results.
- The number of weight gain levels is capped to five per unit, including the base state.
- There is no limit to number of stomach levels they may have.
- They must have a mid-digestion sprite.
- All stomach levels should be in the same pose. Alternate poses are not supported and may make the digestion animation look odd and adding expressions very difficult.
- A unit may have any number of expressions. Expressions will be painted over their base sprite. I recommend separating their eyes, mouth, etc. so that you can mix and match them in-game.
- Each character requires a bit over 100 lines of dialogue, though there is no limit to the number of lines you may give them. I will have a full guide for how to add custom dialogue included in the next build.
