Dev Journal: Unit Design Process (Patreon)

For this week's update, I thought some of you may be interested in taking a look at how units are designed for the game. I really want to include a broad variety of units for people to enjoy, and that's a big consideration when I design and/or write them. By this, I don't just mean how the units look and act, but also the fetishes they appeal to and the types of vore situations they find themselves in. Though I'll be skipping the more niche or polarizing ones, I'd like to cater to as many different fetishes as I can (If there's a certain one you would really like to see that's not in the game yet, please feel free to leave it as a suggestion in the discord.) I genuinely could not be happier about how well-received the characters have been so far, so I'm going to do my best to keep improving from here!
There are a few rules each design must comply to in order to work out properly. For example, a unit's stomach cannot be restricted by either their outfit or pose, it needs room to grow and shrink naturally. In addition, now that weight gain has been implemented, they must be designed with that in mind as well, and each unit may only have a maximum of five different weight gain states. While not explicitly a rule, it's also good if the design naturally shows off the stomach, thus why Covenant isn't wearing a traditional nun's robe.
