This "ozone generator" is a nozone generator.  But weirdly the case has clearly been designed with mountings for classic ozone modules, complete with ventilation.

But what's in it is absolutely not an ozone generator.

The schematic does yield one interesting power supply oddity.  A fudged half wave cap dropper type thing.

Normally when I buy scam products I know what I'm buying and get them to explore and reverse engineer, but this time I bought what I thought was a non-scam product and it was a completely different product in the case. For those who will inevitable say that I can hear the ultrasonic sound because it's ultrasonic. You can still often hear clicks from the piezo disk as it changed frequency or resets the sweep. The piezo disk is just a token gesture here, since it would need a resonant cavity to put out any significant ultrasound, but in this case it's just glued in on one edge. It's very clear that the case was originally intended for use as an actual trace ozone generator, but ended up being repurposed badly. Possibly due to a flaw with the original product design. The most interesting bit of the design is the odd half-wave capacitive dropper. I wonder if it was intentional or a fix for a design error. eBay case is open as "not as described" and awaiting seller response. Two pictures were sent. One of the box and label, and a close up of the label. I usually get a graduated set of Ebay seller responses, starting with - "We will offer you half your money back and you can give it to someone who will find it useful?" - Mister Meaargee.

Karen would like to speak to the manager about this!

The ultra-sonic spider repeller had a wonderful opportunity to demonstrate its capabilities, but BigClive squashed it.

I thought that your remark about not hearing ultrasonic sound was dry British humour, but I see that you addressed that in the description. XD

Ymir the Frost Giant

I definitely heard a sort of squealing noise... oh wait - I had Dave open on another tab.

Half-wave droppers are inefficient (this example is fudged / broken as you say) but have the advantage of 0V being at or near mains Neutral which makes them nicer to develop on. Also any "outside world" differential measurements don't have a large common-mode component.

I think the spider should be called Tiny Clive and go with you on adventures. With the help of an AI I've made some fan art: https://imgur.com/8qiSmbV

I can tell when I get into a room with a ultrasonic device. My bering aids goes nuts. And I have to turn them off.

That sticker looks like a typical Amazon FBA product label. There's nothing showing up for the code now, on either Amazon UK or US, but that's normal for FBA products that go out of stock. (Local charity shop gets loads of tat with these stickers on, dumped as unsold and "disposed of" when the fees kick in after a year; few codes work.) It's likely it was put in the wrong box by a cheap Chinese amazon seller then bought, and resold on ebay by somebody who believed the box they found it in.

It seems to be an insect attracter. Maybe the polarity is wrong?

sometimes you'll get a refund without having to return the item, and if you do.. that perhaps looks like a nice case to build your own ozone generator into?

Yeah, I've seen the cap and zener in series arrangement with a diode catching the positive going voltage capped cycles. This is probably the first time I've seen this odd configuration.

You could have a glittering career as a kids storybook writer and illustrator.

They seem to have lots in stock. Maybe it's a rogue product being dumped on eBay.

Thanks! I'm a human rights lawyer, but I've always been designing in my spare time. In this picture Dall-E did most of the heavy lifting.
