Avatar Legends OC: Twelve Toed Ping (Patreon)

Here's something a little different this time! A new OC!

A little while ago I joined a group for Avatar Legends, the TTRPG set in the Avatar universe. I've been having a ton of fun playing in our Korra Era campaign, and I finally got around to drawing up my character: Twelve Toed Ping.

Ping is a down on her luck Metalbending construction worker who grew up in Green Meadows, the most industrialized district of Republic City. Her home was destroyed during Kuvira's invasion and so she's been living in the refugee camps with her family (and best friend Bolo the raccoon dog) and taking on odd jobs for whoever pays well enough, including acting as occasional muscle for the Triads. Despite life throwing obstacle after obstacle in front of her, she remains a compassionate and kind person who always looks on the bright side and tries her best to help others (I went with the Idealist playbook!).

Unlike a certain other twelve toed character from the Legend of Korra canon, Ping does not actually have twelve toes, and instead earns her nickname from simply having unusually large feet and a rather low center of gravity. I also wanted to give her more of a powerlifter-like build rather than making her look ripped like I do when I draw other buff ladies.

I very nearly didn't draw Bolo because I really struggle with drawing animals and have never drawn a raccoon before, let alone a tanuki. But in the end I decided to give it a try anyway 😁

I got through this one pretty quick, so I included the WIP shots with the final art. But I'm afraid I won't be making any Hi-res or line art versions available for this one.
