History, almost everybody's got some. Very hard to get rid of. Keeps repeating itself. If you're lucky, and work hard, you can just maybe learn from it, but you're gonna need a team. A family. You're gonna need allies. And if you have any extra of those, lemme know...it's for a friend.

This is absolutely my favourite citadel episode so far! Making Aabria roll to see if she worded her contingency well enough... brilliant

Doing a big relisten to WWW, got a theory on the meta nature of the world and magic. In episode 1. The hedge mage at the tavern makes mention of Wizard's discovering the language of magic as "the secret behind the spirits power". I find the existence of the Lingua Arcana fascinating, that it's kind of like a combination between maths/physics in that it's a fundamental truth to the universe that is reverse engineered/discovered, but also it is literally a language that is wholly inefficient as a result, e.g. the note that appears in every spell being unnecessary as outlined by Soft in his journal. So... to me this suggests that the fact that that magic in its purest form is the ability to shape the world through words is an indication that the nature of the world of the setting is that it is quite literally a story within the canon.

Also the importance of names, titles and phrases. Name cloaks as a concept magically erasing all instances of someone's name in history. Might be reaching here but I think it's a fun theory.

It’s obvious that Suvi is struggling between her loyalty to Citadel, look what happened in Port Talon side and her “pop off parents”, look what the Citadel did in Port Talon side. It’s telling that her original instinct is to defend the Citadel against Eursalon, but sad that her programming runs deeper than her trust for “her brother”.

I just started listening today, because Erika, Aabria, Brennan, and Lou are my favorite D20 people and oh this is everything I could have wanted it to be. The storytelling and the sound design are both so magical. Beautiful work. Also, it was warm enough for the first time in a while to do resin work, so I made my first attempt at dice while listening to this first episode. It felt fitting, although their design wasn't.

I just adore the erratic horns for the spirit motif. Adore them.
