The new kids learn the ropes around Port Talon. Press the flesh, as it were. First impressions are so important. Making new friends is easy. Unless...you don't think someone might try to take advantage of the- no don't even say it. Who would do such a thing. Nobody in Port Talon, that's for sure. Great town. Good schools.

This is so Great! and really feels like a home game! Am I the only one "concerned" about references to "those who can't see us"... did I miss a Parreon option?

Anonymous

Anyone else mildly annoyed about the notification bombardment? Yes I'm excited about the episodes but holy smokes batman. I thought something catostrophic happened at work 😅

Lady Land Puma

I was a little bummed when I realized that I’ve already listened to those episodes. Thought we got some new stuff.

The spam to my notifs was kinda frustrating. I hope there's a way that can be avoided in the future

I’m mostly confused about the purpose of these posts if we still have to go to a separate app to listen? Are there plans to eventually upload the episodes to Patreon? I understand if they’re only on public apps for the time being to boost listens while the pod is new but it’s getting kind of confusing 😅

Shane Zuspan

Yeah, if the content was listed in one place it would only take one message to say that page was updated...

Tammie Foster

yay! Excited to see there is a place to post my thoughts on the episode while I am listening. Thanks for getting threads for them up :).

worldsbeyondnumber

Sorry to mildly annoy you! I promise we won't be making new posts for a another batch of past episodes anytime soon, so you should be safe from being mildly annoyed, by us, in the near term. And remember, if you ever feel like you're getting too many notifications, you can always change them by going to https://www.patreon.com/settings/email -t

As a native Southerner, the kudzu slander is unappreciated yet understandable

Fierce Gaze

"We built a big wall between ocean and forest." "Sick." "And we have a legend about an incredibly brutal and aggressive forest spirit that loves the ocean." "Check" "And now the forest is heading towards the ocean at turbo speed." "This is inexplicable." "Better burn a bunch of poison!"

Clip is correct. If you let the mallow burn, the heat isn’t getting deep enough to get it properly gooey. Patience is the way to the best S’more.

Commenting as I listen, and Brennan comes in with the validation.

As a plant person I just want to give Brennan extra points for featuring kudzu, a real life big-bad invasive plant that has destroyed the ecology of large swaths of the US, as a sinister harbinger of a potential great evil 👏👏

Trey Lord

AHOOHOO

Trey Lord

All I've ever wanted to do was rawdog some mythology right now.

Trey Lord

I honestly didn't even put this together. Like I recognized there was plant stuff going on with the vision, and that the sea god loved the nature god, and the kudzu was happening near a port town, and that it was growing strangely, and that it was growing towards the ocean, but I simply didn't synthesize all of that as being connected at all. Thank you for making it more clear 😂

“Makes people drop the things they are doing that are ‘waking world important’ to do the things that are ‘dream world important. ’” Brennan dropped that bomb like it wouldn't absolutely destroy my perception of these traditional ceremonies. These fireside chats are phenomenal

Thisjus10

fun fact, I acknowledged it as profound, but I didn't really sit with and assimilate it on my personal perceptions until your comment instigate an additional moment of reflection. My perception was altered because you mentioned you're altered perception so, thanks!

A witch freely giving their name out to strangers especially scary strangers. It’s so interesting to see the difference from how they treat Fae vs Humans

Piping Plover

Wow, you are way more invested in the lore than me, lol. This is all new to me

Ramón

The part where the conversation goes of the rails and they start talking about s'mores, and then love and then Brennan's wedding and his beautiful thoughts on real world stuff vs fantastical world stuff? Could've been the whole podcast to me

Katlynn

The switch from “don’t give out my name” to Suvi’s name being blasted into the sky with fireworks is so funny.
