Curiosity piqued, Issei interjected, seeking to understand the situation better. "Who exactly is Kokabiel?"

"He is one of our high-ranking leaders, a Cadre," Kalawarner explained. "Several years ago, Lord Azazel assigned him the task of overseeing the devils in this town. Kokabiel has his own group of followers, separate from ours. Our specific mission, assigned by Azazel, revolves around investigating sacred gear wielders in Kuoh and clandestinely monitoring Kokabiel's activities. However, only Dohnaseek and I were aware of the latter arrangement. While we technically operate under Kokabiel's authority here, our objectives differ. I had my suspicions regarding these two girls being associated with Valper Galilei, the church leader in this town. Now, it seems that Valper Galilei is in league with Kokabiel," she concluded, providing a comprehensive explanation.

"Why would Kokabiel collaborate with exorcists? And why didn't you inform me about your surveillance of Kokabiel on behalf of Azazel?" Raynare's voice resonated with a mixture of disbelief and frustration.

"I wasn't entirely certain until now. It appears that Kokabiel is actively gathering the Excalibur fragments. The exact motive remains unclear, but it is imperative that we report this to Azazel," Kalawarner responded, her gaze determined.

The unfolding revelations painted a complex web of alliances and conflicting interests. Issei couldn't help but sense the gravity of the situation. The lines between factions blurred as a more intricate plot began to unravel before them.

Xenovia was taken aback by the revelation. "So, you two aren't affiliated with the other fallen angels in this city?" she inquired, surprised by the unexpected distinction.

Kalawarner nodded, her expression grave. "That's correct. We are part of the fallen angels, but our allegiances and objectives differ from the group led by Kokabiel."

"In that case, it appears that our interests align against a common adversary," Xenovia stated, her voice firm and resolute.

Irina furrowed her brows, her curiosity piqued. "Who is this exorcist you mentioned? Freed Sellzen is not someone I'm familiar with."

"He's a deranged individual Raynare encountered about a week ago. We were searching for a girl with a sacred gear, but Freed intervened and fought Raynare off using an Excalibur. Eventually, devils appeared, and let's just say that encounter left a lasting impression on Raynare," Kalawarner explained, her tone tinged with a hint of disdain.

"We have no association with any other exorcists in this town. In fact, we are actively seeking to eliminate rogue church members during our mission," Xenovia declared with conviction.

Raynare, who had been silent until now, finally spoke up. "In that case, I would gladly assist you in eliminating that repulsive individual. He robbed us of the Twilight Healing ability!"

"Patience, Raynare. We must exercise caution and not reveal ourselves prematurely. If all these pieces fit together, it would imply that Freed Sellzen is working in league with Kokabiel. There must be a reason why Azazel entrusted only me with the espionage task. He knew that your impulsive nature would make it difficult for you to keep things under wraps. We need to gather more information before taking further action," Kalawarner advised, her tone tempered and calculated.

"Why would Freed Sellzen, if he indeed works for Kokabiel, engage in combat with a fallen angel?" Irina pondered aloud.

Kalawarner shook her head, contemplating the possibilities. "That's a valid point. I hadn't considered that possibility. It's conceivable that Freed acted independently, as he is not entirely sane, according to Raynare. The worst-case scenario would be that he knew we were not directly under Kokabiel's command and sought to seize the Twilight Healing for Kokabiel's splinter group. Unfortunately, the latter seems more probable."

"You mentioned a girl with the Twilight Healing sacred gear. Does this exorcist still have her in his custody?" Xenovia questioned, her voice laced with concern.

"I cannot say for certain whether he still holds her captive. During my skirmish with the devils, the Gremory girl and her entourage arrived, disrupting our battle and forcing me to retreat. As a result, I was unable to secure the girl... otherwise, that deranged exorcist would have met his demise. The girl's name is Asia Argento, an Italian nun," Raynare responded, her tone tinged with a mix of frustration and determination.

"What do you mean by 'getting her'? What were your intentions?" Xenovia inquired, her tone growing stern and wary.

Raynare sighed, her voice tinged with a touch of resignation. "By 'getting her,' I meant we planned to either recruit her to our cause or forcibly wrest the Twilight Healing from her if she chose to align herself with the devils. We cannot afford to let the devils reincarnate her as one of their own. A devil possessing the Twilight Healing ability would pose a significant threat."

Irina expressed her sympathy, shaking her head in dismay. "It's truly unfortunate for that girl."

Raynare sighed, a hint of disdain lingering in her voice. "I can't help but feel sorry for anyone bound to serve devils."

Issei, his curiosity piqued, interjected, "So, the devils have taken this girl now?"

Raynare nodded in confirmation. "Most likely... However, there's little we can do about it now. Besides, if Freed Sellzen and the other church extremists are indeed in league with Kokabiel, we have much larger concerns to address."

"I may not be fond of fallen angels, but if you two stand against Valper Galilei, we are willing to provide our assistance," Xenovia stated diplomatically, extending an offer of cooperation.

Kalawarner and Raynare exchanged fleeting glances, silently deliberating on the matter. Eventually, they reached an agreement, and Kalawarner turned her attention back to Xenovia and Irina. "Very well, then. We shall be temporary allies."

Issei let out a loud yawn, clearly uninterested in their conversation. "Excuse me for not finding this particularly intriguing anymore. It seems you four have found some common ground. So, enjoy your detective work. I'm heading out to enjoy my weekend."

"W-Wait, Issei, please reconsider! If you're truly as powerful as they say, your assistance could be invaluable," Irina pleaded with a hint of desperation.

He let out a frustrated sigh, his hand still covering his face. "Why does drama always seem to follow me wherever I go?"

"If Kokabiel becomes involved, we won't be able to handle him alone. He's a high-ranking fallen angel," Irina argued.

"What makes you think I can stop him then?" Issei questioned, raising an eyebrow.

Raynare addressed Kalawarner with a concerned expression. "Do you genuinely believe it will come to a violent confrontation with Kokabiel?"
