"When you finally noticed me, instead of trying to apologize or go after the fountain... you asked if I was okay. I couldn't believe that someone so broken would care if I was okay."

'Eh, I was in a vulnerable moment. What she doesn't know is I had to turn back time a few times for the Abyss went feral and kept eating her.'

"So, I told you my story. Much like I did with Ban. You stayed and listened to the entire story and kept me company. You did leave a few times, coming back with trinkets from your travels. One time bringing one of your daughters back with you. Isabella was her name if I recall. She was a dark fairy."

I remember that name. She was the Fairy, Prime granted the title of Fairy queen and turned dark.

"Anyways, I think I had a crush on you for a time and eventually I realized you kept me at arm's length. So, I started seeing you more like a father or uncle figure."

Strange... this doesn't sound like something Prime would do.

'I did. To try and experience what it would be like to be a father. I used her. I think I did... enjoy the moments with her. However, it did take several times to get it right. The number of times my lust and hunger lost control. Weren't some of my proudest moments. Only made me more certain on my decision with Hikari.'

"You did eventually leave and didn't come back. So, I figured you got bored with me. However, those visits of yours were something I cherished. If you must kill me, I won't stop you. I'm going to die either way."

"I did return. However, when I did the forest had been destroyed and you were dead. Even though I could have brought you back. I didn't."

"I'm glad. I thought you abandoned me."

Standing up from my throne, I stepped toward Elaine as the table vanished between us. She didn't move to flee or even flinch. All she did was smile as I approached. Crouching down to meet her at eye level. My blacked hand reached toward her.

Ban started violently thrashing as his muscles bulged in size. I could feel him stealing my strength. However, he couldn't contain enough to cause me any hindrance.

Jericho didn't sit back anymore. As he drew her sword and stabbed it toward my face. An explosion going off at its tip. Right in my face.

I allowed fire to form in my mouth as I shot Jericho with it. Sending her back.

Still keeping my eyes on Elaine. My claws started forcing their way into her chest around her heart. Blood started leaking from her mouth, but I was using magic to ease her pain.

"No longer will you be tied to anyone. May your life be your own."

As my claws pierced her heart, where my magic was concentrated. I absorbed it back into my body and forced her magic to go into overdrive. Forcing her body to evolve to heal herself.

Her wound was already starting to glow as I removed my hand. The magic that was now her own healing her body. As she was knocked unconscious. As I dropped my magic surrounding Ban. He caught her and glared up at me with hatred.

Licking my fingers of her blood, I looked off into the distance as I sensed more demons closely.

"After you're done here, go into the mountain below us. Escanor is in it running a bar. See you soon, Ban."

Mavros POV:

"Ah, so it was you two. You are like a puppy, Monspeet. A love-struck puppy who never got over his first love."

Stepping out of a portal, I saw Derieri devouring souls while Monspeet silently watched. Even though Monspeet was the stronger of the two and any logical person would try making him stronger first, his love for Derieri is getting in the way.

"Oh, humans, we must have missed you. Should have run away when you had the chance." Derieri said, her hand on her hip as if she had no worry.

Monspeet had a blank look on his face as he tossed a soul in his mouth.

"He feels... off. He isn't any regular human, that's for sure."

"What does it matter? He is still just a human. No way, he could match up to a true demon. Let alone two." Derieri replied as she walked toward me. "Hey, Monspeet, what did he mean about love-struck puppy?"

Monspeet said nothing for his commandment prevented him from speaking.

"He can't answer you, Derieri. I guess you'll never know."

She glared at me as she cocked her fist back. Interestingly enough, she knows the truth but knows it can't be because their commandments prevent it.

The commandment of Purity, any who commits any impure acts, will be inflicted with an illness. What an illness means to a demon, I don't care enough to figure it out.

The commandment of Reticence, any who expresses any hidden feelings or emotions, will be rendered unable to speak.

Quite cruel of the Demon King, to separate two would be lovers. Then again, it's something I would have done.

...Well, what Prime would have done, same difference.

Raising my hand, I blocked Derieri's first punch as a small shockwave flowed around me. Seeing that one attack wasn't enough to stop me, she kept releasing a barrage of punches.

I kept meeting her fists with my palm as she kept racking up her combo. While she attacked, I looked over at Monspeet, who clearly was surprised at the outcome of this fight. As he watched Derieri attack, passing fifty and I hadn't even moved from my position.

Even though the shockwaves had destroyed the surroundings behind me. My power protected the ground beneath my feet.
