Screaming in pain, Yang welcomed the attacks around her. Punching her fists together that sparked with flames and blood started to pour from her wounds forming armor. She pushed off the ground not even using her gauntlets to give her speed. I saw the ground crumble and Yang vanished. Appearing seconds later in front of me fist raised.

I didn't even have to process her movement before her punch sent me flying holding onto Ruby. Buildings crumbled under the force in my path. I shielded Ruby taking the brunt of the force.

They may kill me. I need to stop them and can't do it when holding back.

"Sorry, Ruby."

Tossing Ruby away from me just in time to see Yang appear in front of me again. Several attacks coming behind doomed to hit us both.

"Now a better time than any."

Calling on Ddraig to boost myself. I caught Yang's fist in my free hand. Telling me her stats were just over my base. Not my boost.

It wasn't long before the attacks consumed us. Her fist started to push my grip back. Having to catch her other hand stopping it also didn't help.

"I who am about to awaken,"

Ddraig repeated the words with me. Kicking Yang away shattering her blood like armor under the force. I continued.

"Am the red dragon the stole the principle of domination from god,"

"Juggernaut Drive, you think that will help you." Hikari laughed like the situation didn't faze her.

Not saying anything to mess up the chant, I just glared at her. A large shadow loomed over me, causing me to surround myself with fire to block the attack.

Being smashed into the ground through the flames. I didn't have time to look behind me, but of course, it had to be Ophis. The flames didn't do anything to her shadows.

"I laugh at the infi-" the shadow covered my mouth with a tendril.

Clicking her tongue, Hikari walked toward me shaking her head. "You let your guard down. I knew that your peerage didn't stand a chance against you. However, you didn't want to hurt them. So, it just made it all the easier to restrain you."

The boosted gear shined a green light.

"Boost! Boost! Bo-"

Hikari glanced toward the boosted gear residing on my right hand. Before my arm exploded off my body.

Screaming in pain through the tendril, tears streaming down my face.

'Why did that hurt? I thought that I kept my previous Gamer abilities. I had Pain Endurance at max.'

"Pain endurance only makes you take less damage. Up to this point, nothing that hit you was strong enough to cause you pain. The brothers came close, but they weren't on Hikari's level and with you no longer having Gamer's body. Your damage goes directly to your body."

'Is this where we die?'

Looking up to Hikari she rested her hand on my cheek. Looking at me with pity, sadness, and love?

"Even if you tossed me away. I always hoped you would come for me. I know you weren't my real father, but you restored me with your essence, so you were the closest thing to one."

"No, we will get out of here."

Prime was trying to take control, and, in this situation, I didn't have a choice, but let him.

My eyes grew a deep black that looked up at Hikari with sadness.

"So, you are listening. I'm glad. That the one that I end up killing will be the part of my father that I loathe."

Her hand started being covered in white light like a glove. Grabbing us by the neck.

Still watching through Prime I knew his intention in letting her this close. A small part of our energy trailed from our body going in a small portal.

"I wished things could have been different."

A searing sensation went through our neck, however at that moment. Our energy contacted something that could help us.

Prime did something else at this moment that surprised me. He looked into Hikari's eyes and showed her what she wished to see. A life with a father.

Falling onto her knees, a glazed look shone on Hikari's face. It was at this moment we pulled onto the link of our energy. Vanishing from the battlefield leaving everyone behind.

Hikari's Dream:

"Daddy look what I made." A young Hikari ran up to a distracted Prime.

Prime was watching through a portal overlooking a planet where his latest experiments were taking place. Trying to figure out how a physical representation of the abyss would form on a planet.

It didn't look good... for the planet. It looked to be on fire. A molten crater split across the equator. Monsters formed from darkness, cold, heat, wind, and the earth. Sighing Prime waved his hand at the planet exploding before the portal vanished.

"Daddy?"

Prime looked over to Hikari, smiling and lifting her on his lap.

"What did you make, sweetie?"

Lifting her palms an orb of light formed before transforming into a small dog and barking at Prime.

"That's good. You're getting stronger. Didn't I tell you not to overuse your powers? We don't know how volatile they are."

Hikari looked away from Prime, afraid to look him in his eyes.

"I'm sorry."

"Look at me, now."

Hikari quickly looked at her father, not wanting him to get angry. She flinched seeing his eyes that seemed to be that of her deepest fears looking back at her.

"Hikari, I'm not mad at you. I'm just worried. If your powers are like mine they can consume you."

Smiling innocently, Hikari hugged her father, surprising him.

"I'm not scared of my power. If it's anything like yours I'm sure it will be beautiful. Allowing me to fill people with hope."

"You're right, why don't we go for a stroll in the garden. Maybe you can show me something else with your powers."

Hikari jumped up smiling running toward the throne room door.

Prime let a deep breath out, calming himself down feeling the abyss calling out to him. Wanting the part of itself to return. He saw the shadows inch toward Hikari before snapping his fingers. Both he and Hikari appeared in the garden.

"What was that?" Hikari looked at him confused.

"Why walk when we can teleport and spend more time together?"

Hikari giggled, pulling Prime by his hand.

"Let's go, daddy. Let's play before you have to leave again."
