The Consequences of One-for-All.

TFTC Okay, I read it and wow, Dencifer got messed up. The Previous Holders weren't kidding when they said that he would survive, but it'd be unpleasent. What happened to his mental model of Denki? Did it get absorbed by One for All and now there's a version of the original Denki stuck in the mental realm the Holders live in, traumatized by what happened? I'm guessing that One for All couldn't get Dencifer all the way back to UA, he got taken to a hospital, and then the Friends of All looking out for One infiltrated it? And Mina and Co are on there way to rescue him? Something like that.

Not going to sugarcoat it, not your best chapter. It definitely had its good moments, the disorientation and the general state of mind and being was well done, it’s just hat the scenario was weird. To further elaborate why was he alone (I can only assume he was piloted by his power to a hospital), I can understand that OfA has a lot of reach but I would assume it’s been at least a few days for info to trickle down to some rando cop (assuming he is a rando cop) so UA with its considerable resources would have located him, at minimum they would have looked for someone who fit his description in a hospital, too many witnesses to cover it up. I really think any situation without at least one member of staff or his parents present (or at least within dynamic entry distance from the hospital) feels kinda forced. This opinion might change had I read this and next chapter or if it was long enough to include the next chapter, but alone (and going by the average time of 3-5 weeks between chapters) it feels lacking. And I don’t mean in a cliffhanger I want to keep reseeding it while waiting for the next chapter way, it felt like it was missing a segment. My advice is when you release this to QQ release it with the next chapter as well. Or release them within a day or 2 of each other. Tl;dr: The way you described his current state both physically and mental was really good, the situation just felt forced or lacking. I do hope this comes off as the constructive criticism I intended for it to be, as I don’t even think I am frustrated as I am about to fall asleep (2:46am). Edit: I wonder what will happen with Momo and Mei, I feel like at least one would want to come with him. It would also be interesting to see how Aizawa is handling everything. Oh and there are people with truth quirks so they can easily confirm that this cop was working for OfA or has a connection to him. Which came off as weird to pull off. But I guess that can be chucked on Danki fucking up the precog model. At least that cop would be burnt (as in career wise) if Danki said anything (and from past experience he told Nasu everything about AfO when they last came to him).

PublicLee Speaking

I understand what you're saying, as this was definitely a transitory chapter, and, hopefully, the next MHA chapter will come out in 2 weeks, tops. Also, this is absolutely a setup by AfO, though not one that's going to work out as he wanted due to outside factors.

Meudon

Putting his memories behind the lock of his defenses is insidious.

Evan Crooks

small thing, cant Kaminari buy a stack of body tune up, if it hasnt already been used, im not sure if your WC version allows you to stack full heals. And since it fixes genetic abnomalities it should work on fixxing the quirks right?

Alex Collyer

This story was started when the waifu catalog was much smaller and simpler and has been locked in place. In this one there is only one body tune up/full heal and it was gotten in the beginning. This is also why the Lee in rwby cant fix his facial scaring.

Shadowlier

Goddamn you have done a wonderful job of making AFO really seem like an actually insidious villain that has had a lot of time to accrue vast amounts of influence and power, like a genuine threat.

Joel Bullock

Oof that soul damage is hitting hard

Lictor Magnus

Is this the type of world hop where everything freezes in the place the MC leaves?

Gezartos

Yeah, drugs are bad. Especially when you don't know WHAT you were given) Did the MC even check if the defences are up?

bigreaderpike

I do like how compared to a lot of other waifu catalog you've actually managed to give this story Stakes where a guy can't just use a few points to get out of any problem and just automatically Crush everything and actually make him care about the people he's around instead of treating them like cardboard cutouts.

Joseph Fera

i thought the weird, kinda disjointed way he was acting made sense. his emotions are...suppressed probably due to the drugs, he just woke up in a hospital, can't access all of his abilities, and has no idea where the fuck he is right now. a kind of disjointed and meandering chapter makes sense given that the story is primarily told from his perspective.

Zerak

The issue was not how he acted but the situation he woke up in.
