This movie was more about the original DC Comics Batnan. In those stories he was a brutal vigilantly. He would kill instead of capturing villains. He killed the Riddler by ripping his leg off in their final fight and beating him to death with it. He killed the Joker by stuffing s grenade in his laughing mouth and pulling the pin. He was definitely a Dark Knight.
