Hey folks! As always, thank you so much for supporting the channel! I'm hard at work on the Oath tutorial (as well as the Root expansion video and a new one that I'll be announcing in the next newsletter), but in the meantime I've got a few new games to vote on for the next Patreon-backed tutorial. These were suggested by our Rules Lawyers, so let's see what's on the list.

Brass Birmingham: Coming in at 2nd place in the last poll, Brass earned a guaranteed spot in the new one! This dark and gloomy looking economic game, set in industrial era England, boasts a very devoted fanbase, and there's no question as to why. It's just that good! While the gameplay is a bit dense, the strategy involved is extremely engaging. It makes for a difficult teach, but I imagine that's why an RTFM video would be so helpful.

Ankh: Gods of Egypt: The most hotly suggested game is the latest big box by CMON. Play as Egyptian gods trying to carve out space and influence in a world that is trying to forget the old ways. With gameplay that has been compared to Blood Rage and Rising Sun, this looks to be another great Eric Lang game. While this was a kickstarter game and it hasn't been shipped out to everyone yet, it looks like I'd be able to get a copy (provided CMON kept a few aside for reviewers) early enough that there wouldn't be any delays.

There were a lot of games tied for 2nd in the suggestions, so I'm picking my two favorites, starting with...

Dune Imperium: Man this game has a lot of buzz around it! While I haven't had a chance to try it, I've been hearing a lot of great things about this hybrid deck-building worker placement game set in the Dune universe. I've already covered the other big Dune game, so I'd have to come up with a new opening joke, but I'd still be very excited to give this game the RTFM treatment.

Everdell (and expansions): With the Complete Collection around the corner, there's been a resurgence in popularity for Everdell. Fine by me, this beautiful woodland-themed card game has an excellent pedigree and a superfluous but visually impressive 3D tree. This game has shown up in the polls before, but maybe this time it will fare a little better. It's also got a few impressive looking expansions, but as before, I'll say that because the newest expansions aren't out yet, I can't guarantee that I'll be able to get a copy of them in time to add them to the list.

Voting will end in two weeks, and you can vote for multiple games. The second place game will be guaranteed a spot in the next poll.

While I love brass, I've also played it a ton already and don't need a rules video for it. A video for it would be super useful for others but voting strictly selfishly I'm going to go ankh. A rules explanation from you would definitely help me decide if it's something I'm interested in.

I must not fear the tutorial. Fear is the comprehension-killer. Fear is the little death that brings total analysis paralysis. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past, I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only my understanding will remain.

We will get Siderule Confluence... one day. One day.
