Alright folks, I hope everyone's staying safe during these scary times. While I (and the rest of Los Angeles) are staying home as much as possible, that does mean I'll have plenty of time to work on RTFM, so let's keep things going and see what we'll be covering next.

War of the Ring: This game came in close second last time around, so here it is once more. This is one of those classically big games that are hard to get to the table. In other words, perfect RTFM material. And while this big, asymmetrical, two player, Lord of the Rings game will be quite the challenge, I'd be happy to sink my teeth into it.

Brass Birmingham: With five people suggesting this one, it's an easy addition to the poll. This beautified sequel to 2007's Brass is a heavy economic game whose strategy is perfectly represented in its artwork. Intense, a little dark, and immediately intriguing. While there are already a few good rules videos out there for this one, I think it's complexity make it a good choice for an RTFM teach.

Paladins of the West Kingdom: There were a few options tied for second in the suggestions post, so I'm going to go with Paladins. I've played a few of the (Job Title) of the (Cardinal Direction) (Place) games and I definitely liked this one the best. A delightfully colorful worker placement game where your workers change every round. What's not to love?

Vindication: For the editor's choice, I'm choosing Vindication because I love the storytelling aspect of this game. You start off as a wretched, pitiful figure trying to redeem yourself. It just strikes me as such a unique prompt for a game and I want more people to know about it.

This poll will end on April 4th at 11:59 PM PDT, and as always, choose as many options as you like.

I don't think I've played brass (any edition) without getting at least one rule wrong.

Doesn't look like you'll get to Paladins this time, but it's one I'm interested in learning more about. I've enjoyed played Architects but haven't been able to get into Paladins. I suspect I'm missing something about it which it hampering my enjoyment. Keep up the good work, amigo.

RTFM

I think Paladins is a little more polarizing than the others in that series because I've heard others say the same thing. Whereas I was a little less enthusiastic when I tried Architects and Raiders, but for some reason I loved Paladins. Who knows?

Looks like WotR will be runner up again. Such a good game but really lacks any good teaching tools to get new players involved. Maybe next, next time.

RTFM

Maybe, but it’s close and there’s still plenty of time. It could still swing towards WotR

I know. I hope War of the Ring pulls through. I have it on my shelf and it's the perfect one on one game to play with the SO. (Especially now that we're basically sitting at home all day)

So true. It is a hard game to teach as well because of half the rules being on the "action" cards. Still only 3 votes in it at this stage......Maybe we could negotiate with the Vindication faction to gain some votes.....Trade agreement for 6 Votes? Or has that timing window passed?
