Only a 4 minute reaction for Cyberpunk 1x7. That feels like a new low.

I love the series but this is probably one of the weaker episodes story wise. After the surprise of the time skip its a pointless fight scene that while cool looking has no dramatic stakes or tension to it. The battle is so beneath our characters that they stand in the middle of the room and while 40 guys shoot at them and apparently they have storm trooper aim. Our characters don think of this as a threat, so the audience can't think of it as suspenseful or dramatic. The most interesting part of the episode is Lucy's backstory but even that is just told to us through a voiced over flashback instead of presented as a dramatic scene, so there is no tension so it's just kind of vaguely sad. The story is re-orienting itself and it's lost some of it's momentum. The reveal that David has some cyberpsychosis warning signs is just kind of taken numbly, because its not somethign that has been built up. Its just surprise, he's like 80% there. If the show had more cash and more story and had an extra 5 episodes to fill in the gap where we see David slowly upgrade more and more, become more closed off, watch him ignore the smallest warning signs, then it's dramatic when it happens. But the story in this episode is rushing to fill in the blanks so it can get to the finale. You can't squeeze water from a stone, and you can't get an exciting reaction from a mediocre episode of a great series.

I can say from experience, some of these shows are rly tough when it comes to beating the YT sensors. They probably had a much longer cut that got blocked. But if you dont like that, you can always go to the full length tier.
