The plan will give them the possibility to win but the last part will fail and the winchester will finish it a way thats not in the book so it's them doing it not destiny.

The plan will work but that foreshadowing of OP Death saying "I will reap God" makes it sound like are the distraction or worse, canon fodder to weaken Chuck just enough for the Reaping
