There wasn't a time jump, Alfred and Aethelred were aged up to accommodate for the time that passed in 4B (which was around 2 years)

Great reaction! Some really good episodes this season, can’t wait for you guys to get there. My only note: What Lagertha did to King Harald was definitely rape. It was a power move to assert her dominance over him. Just because the genders are reversed (from the “norm”) doesn’t change what it is.

Like Jac99 said, i think they have just aged the actors up! Also its thought he had crohns disease! On the god front, you guys think to much into it! Its meant to just give a feel of this historical world.

not when you watch it as a kid, but i saw it on TV not to long ago and it was soooo bad, it broke my damn heart, i thought it was amazing growing up.

2 years has passed since 4x20 because in 4B Bjorn was 34 now he's 36 so they just recast Alfred and Athelred because they will play a way bigger role going forward so they can't keep them as kids any longer

Well I don't want to spoiler it, although the show never really tells us where it is anyway. But if you want to know google 'Flóki Vilgerðarson' and it will tell you where he landed. That's kind of the thing the historical Floki is famous for.
