Will the event that takes place at the end of Marvel's AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR factor into the storytelling of this season of Agents of Shield?

I hope so

voting yes but I'm honestly not sure. I hope it does.

I’m voting yes because it will make the Season 6 we are definitely probably hopefully getting that much crazier.

Anonymous

i think not this season, at most at the end but may factor in more if they get another season before avengers 4

If they wrote in the effects of Infinity War then the actors who disappeared would have to be gone all next season, assuming there is one, or the show would have to explain a fix to get them back sooner. Or they will use it to get rid of secondary characters but it won’t effect the main cast.

Harry Utton

I hope so, I'll be a little disappointed if they don't but it doesn't bother me too much. Although if I watch Simmons fade away I might actually die.

Benodinson

I don't think so since I know the Russo Brothers didn't give Mark Ruffalo full scripts for IW. So I don't see them telling the television or netflix series "Here's the ending of Infinity War, tie-in". I feel it would take away from the stories they're telling on shield/ Marvel Netflix series since it would then force those who may not be interested in Infinity War to put up with it's consequences. As fun as that would be, those shows net a different audience and I feel Shield stands on it's own two feet without needing to tie-in.

Matthew Smith

i think i'd be kinda insane if they didn't. I wouldn't be surprised if this season leaves us on cliff hanger where all the stories are wrapped up, the team is celebrating their victory, then all of a sudden we see the effects of the movie.

Yes; Thor will absolutely love the Fitz boys' beards.

Anonymous

I'm telling you, Deke's disappearing.

Alvaro

I hope so but they might do it at the beginning of next season because the showrunners know more of what happened in the movie

I'm saying yes. My prediction is that the series will end with people disappearing. Who disappears from the AoS family? I'm not sure. But it'll be interesting none the least. I'm very excited to find out if it will factor in in such a big way, however, there's part of me that doubts it somewhat. Mostly leaning to yes, but we'll see.

Cause marvel movies never acknowledge tv shows but one can dream

Tone

I would guess yes, as after credits cliffhanger like Phil in space last year. Even if Shield doesn't get a 6th season, it would be a very Marvel and fan service way for the show to go out.

Define "Factor into the storytelling." I'm voting yes because I think we'll see it this turn, and it will have an impact into next season (or the legacy of the show in the worst case scenario.) But It could be very well an ending shot like the space view from last season. However, I don't think it'll be the solution to their problems (dusting Graviton...) If we've learned anything from all these seasons, it has to hit either Fitz OR Simmons.

The one version in my head is Fitz and Simmons already talked about Deke fading out of existence. So he will disappear and they will think it’s because they stopped the destruction of the world, but he’s really just a Thanos victim. Than to cut out our hearts either Fitz or Simmons also disappear.

Anonymous

Don't think so, if the IW actors weren't even allowed to read a real script, I doubt they'd allow a whole set of other people not involved in the movie know it either.

Red Claw

Mac isn't in the Future. So Mac, Robyns Mother and maybe Piper or Davis get snapped out of existence. And it would be kinda funny if the only time we see Patton Oswalt see is when one Brother watches the other disappear.

Cap and his crew was in Scotland, flew to New York then flew to Wakanda. They slightly faster then normal planes, they need to eat and sleep and you have to assume they didnt just land in NY and leave right away, they probably stayed maybe a day and we dont know how long they were in Wakanda before the Black Order arrived. Id say it was between 4-7 days from the Attack in NY to The end Battle. The last few episodes of shield have been over maybe 2 days, if that and I dont think the last 3 will take place over a extended period. Maybe 1 day. So I dont think we see any Infinity War Ashing in the show. But I post credit style tease where half the team vanishes would be awesome and if they bring the show back maybe Davis could be on the team haha.

Blair Lyons

It will probably happen, so I voted yes, but I can’t take seeing more people vanishing!!

Darth Skhorrn

Before seeing Infinity War, I said no. However, I don't see how they can ignore half the people in the world/universe just turning to ash. Piper is definitely getting ashed, possibly Mack as well.

Tucker Lobner

I normally would say yes, but because this show has always been as loosely connected to the MCU as possible I feel like what happened in Infinity War won't have any effect on the final couple episodes of the season.

Anonymous

I think it may depend on whether or not the show gets renewed. If it does then yes because they have room to tie into Avengers 4 and hopefully everyone coming back. If not hopeful no sense it would be kind of upsetting for the show to end with a beloved character disappearing and not knowing if they ever come back

Anonymous

They aren't going to specifically mention Thanos attacking Earth and then not involve the end of Infinity War. It wouldn't make any logical sense.

Doby Greg

Winter Soldier changed the show and Age of Ultron ended the shield civil war. So it would make sense if it does but I would prefer if it doesn't so that another story doesn't mess the stakes shield created for it's series.

Skeletor

Since Coulson is gonna be in Captain Marvel it is likely he could have an importance to appear in Avengers 4 as well.

Anonymous

I pray to beebo that this would happen and more. Plus if it does happen it would open up for another season because we can't end on people turning to dust without the survivor's reaction and the aftermath of all of it.

Anonymous

It has too, which probably means there won't be a next season, cause how will they factor in that end into the series without compromising the entire dynamic of the show

Anonymous

YES! But they could just end the season before the snap if they want. Or they have massive BALLS and turn half of the cast into dust at the end. OR they somehow avoid all that if they somehow are in another Realm or back in the Furture and than came back an half of humanity is gone. IDK. But if it is and there is a season 6. what are they going to do? They dont know what will happen in part 2. They all just coming back? Or they wait a year to film season 6 but i dont want to wait that long. :-D

Dylan Carpenter

I don’t think it will have as much of an impact as we might have hoped, but we will see some of it come into play. It seems like we are pre or mid Infinity War right now, so the ending of the movie will likely coincide with the end of the season. Next season might work as a build up for Avengers 4, depending on how long after Infinity War that movie picks up.

Jude Miller

Whatever happens, I suspect the writers are going to blow our freaking minds.

Chase Robert Dunn

The lost boys crowed in Hook, not howled. You done messed up A-A-RON!

Anonymous

Yes and in the most heart breaking way, one of Fitz or Simmons is going to disappear in front of the other

Angry bob ross

kneel before nathan petrelli

Anonymous

No I doubt they knew the end game when they were filming.l

Anonymous

Doubt it. They'll tie the movie into the show, like they did with Winter Soldier, but keep it vague enough to not spoil it for the people who haven't watched Infinity War at this time.
