I feel like he was supposed to be, but then they changed their minds cause he didn't look like he got cut in the face, it looked like his throat.

On my first viewing, I absolutely thought he was dead. However while watching it back in reactions, I noticed you can see him sitting on the floor with an expression of shock after Jemma cuts him.

Initially I thought Jemma cut his throat but you can see him looking dazed on the ground when they all jump out of the booth

I thought she slices his throat too at first but then they showed him looking at Fitz and holding his cheek and he actually got up at the end. Even if she cut his throat it was a butter knife and Jemma may be stronger now but not that strong.

At first I thought he got his throat slit but then I saw him moving around and holding his cheek. Also you're pronouncing Kasius wrong, its Kuh-sigh-us like someone else said, not Cass-ius.

No, on first viewing it looked to me like she slashed his cheek. Then to confirm it I used a magical capability available only to us Amish called freeze frame. Who knows video if not the Amish?

I could answer both really. I totally thought he was dead after watching it the first time. Upon a rewatch, I saw him moving around afterwards.

When I originally saw it, I thought he got cut in the neck. I saw him move in the background, so I knew he wasn't dead yet. What went through my mind was: "Dude got his throat cut and he's still alive; that is one tough s-o-b." Then I saw the next episode and found out they only cut his cheek. Oh well.
