I haven't played a single Castlevania game, but I do think this show is neat. I watched all four episodes last night which was apparently perfect timing for THIS.

For the curious, this series is based on Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse. Also Rick has a very hearty laugh, I love it.

I watched Castlevania (having never heard of anything about it before - I loved it!) the day before watching the top ten video games and when Rick said Castlevania, I was like "I understand that reference!" And I thought you may enjoy the show. I thought it was freaking hilarious.

Glad you guys are doing this, really liking the Aaron and Rick dynamic, but I think everyone can join in on this show, I had little knowledge of Castlevania when I watched it but still enjoyed it a lot so I bet the other guys would too.

In answer to where Drac learned his science: Lament of Innocence (one of only two Castlevania games I've beaten, because most of them are hard and I kinda suck at video games) establishes that back when he was a human knight, he studied alchemy. He probably kept researching after he became a vamp.
