CDN Art: 2017 (Patreon)

Another day another post!

This year I struggled. I was recovering from that incident last year and finding my stride with my art and dealing with that paranoia. A lot of people who were around when I first joined eventually left so the activity was a little slow, and I wasn't creating as much art as the previous years.

But when I did create it was to world build for the krogan and Tuchanka! Turak would nerd about things on his homeworld, and I tried to do some story bits for Branka's growth. I introduced the kakliosaurs! Since I wasn't drawing for others I worried that my art of krogan related things were annoying people. I was used to uploading art to my gallery for people to view and comment, but the forums are an entirely different setting. People don't have to comment on it so more often than not I saw the lack of feedback as a negative thing.

I was also having a hard time trying to join other people in their stories. There was a lot of factors at work here that were against me. There was a lot of miscommunication and middle-manning. And a RP partner was doing another plot, and there was a lot of story scrapping for the stuff we talked about. And in the middle of the year I went through a break up, and then Lydia was pushed into a break up story of her own. I didn't want to do it, I wasn't asked, it just happened so I was kind of in my corner playing with my own characters. 

A couple of years later we got to talk about this more openly so while it sucked that it happened, I'm glad at least we were able to clear the air and apologize.
