Hello lovelies!

We have previously shared with fans that we our move from New Zealand to the United States has been tumultuous, but that we were making progress to move to a new home up in Oregon!

What we haven't shared is much about why this move has been so tumultuous, which has had a much longer impact on steady game development than we would have liked and because we believe we are finally past the worst!

We also want to give you a broader overview of where we are with overall game development.

Game Progress - Big Picture

New builds to come bi-monthly on all platforms.

Once our physical move is complete, we will be managing the regular release of content and fixes in a new release every two months on Patreon, followed by updates on Steam, Itch.io, and VRPorn.

As always, Patrons will receive playtest builds and opportunities to explore new prototyped features first. Community feedback is so incredibly helpful to our development and we really, really appreciate all of you who take time to share it with us! 💕

Dominatrix Simulator release coming August 15, 2022 - Steam, Itch.io, VRPorn

We have not been able to prioritize these platforms for the last few months, but we want to get them back on board with our newest updates and fully re-engage with our fans there!

New content will be minimal, but there will be new scenes to play, as well as new music, new animations, and several bug fixes.

Game Progress - The Details

Content status.

Scenes with The Divine Engine Pragma and Enforcer Furia will be playable in alpha state, which includes our first introduction of a Mistress ‘walking’ in game!

We are in the process of incorporating changes to the Pragma voice and directionality and putting together a casting call to recruit for a new voice actress for Enforcer Furia! This will be the first time we've brought in an outside voice actress to play one of our main Mistresses! (More info will come on this in a future post)

New art assets.

Our resident artist, Just Jeff, has been pulled away on other projects for almost a year, but is now back on board creating additional art assets for our game!

The first is the completion of a brand new, never before discussed, character named Ereshkigal. We don’t want to give too much about her away, just yet, but you can expect to see some sneak peaks of her in the near future!

For now, Pragma’s intro has a placeholder fucking machine, while Just Jeff whips up something perfect for our game.

New musical compositions completed.

For the past year, we have had a music composer, Fflewddur Fflam, creating unique sounds for each Mistress. Each one has their own unique origin, style, appearance, room, and mannerisms (not to mention their specific kink preferences), so we always knew music was a key part of embellising them further!

Cues have been completed for each Mistress with scenes currently in the game:

  • The Goddess

  • The Headmistress

  • Mistress Yuki-Onna

  • Mistress Nega-Yuki and

  • Ms. Treatment

New music will soon begin for Pragma and Furia!

New animations in testing.

We found hundreds of amazing mocap animations that we are testing and evaluating for using in the game.

We’re so excited that this gives us a chance to have a Mistress walking in a scene, which we hope will be the future of adding more NPC motion to the game.

Language translation.

We have been honored by non-native English speaking players to receive some help fixing our machine-generated language translations.

This includes French, Russian, German, Spanish and, we hope, some Brazilian Portuguese. These are in various states of improvement, which we hope to be able to share soon!

Personal Challenges

With game updates out of the way, let me provide a little more insight into what's been going on with us and our move...

In December 2021, we began a journey to move overseas from New Zealand, our home for the last 6 years, to find a new home back in the United States. We knew that would take time and involve some nomadic living for a bit, so we didn't expect it to happen quickly. We chose to use the time to visit friends and family while we were also focusing on finding a new home.

Health crisis.

Unfortunately, nothing played out like we hoped. A month after leaving NZ, I had a sudden, and unexpected, brain rupture while I was visiting someone in Korea. The situation required urgent and risky surgery with a risk of post surgery complications. I spent over a month in Korea, recovering from surgery before I was given permission to leave the country and return home.

With so much gratitude, I can share that my surgeon was highly-skilled and I have had an exceptional recovery. I've been back at normal capacity for the past couple months and have no lingering issues!

We avoided sharing this initially, because it's quite personal and private, but combined with the other challenges we've experienced, we feel our fans deserve a little more insight into where we are at and how it's affected the game.

Hacker sabotage.

Within a week of coming home from surgery, a Discord hacker took over my account and wiped out our game’s Discord community, took control of the game’s Itch account, and attempted to divert game proceeds to their own personal account (most of this was shared in a previous post). The hacker also uploaded a corrupt file to Itch.

Over 48 hours, Deviant and I, along with our Discord moderator team blocked every attempt the hacker made, took back control, and rebuilt the server. To our best understanding, player impact was extremely minimal, but the risk was terrifying to encounter. 😱

Housing crisis.

Further complicating matters was the challenge of finding a place to live.

Two months after my surgery, we moved into a home and, eight days later, our upstairs neighbor was shot. This kicked off an urgent relocation, which put us in a house that flooded several times from aging pipes. Further challenges with the city we were living in made us realize that we needed a quieter, more peaceful home where the family and I could recover.

This kicked off a month of house hunting in two other States, but successfully landed us a permanent home to relocate to!

With just 1.5 weeks to go, we are almost able to move into our new home and to truly relax and recouperate from the first half of the year!

Gratitude to Our Fans

Through all of our intermittent absencess, slow progress in development, and reduced communication, our fans have been incredibly patient, loyal and caretaking!

We are sooooo grateful to all of you who have supported our progress in the game and who have been so invested in helping us build what we believe is going to be a truly, epic game!! 🎉

Mine Truly,
