I finished this 2 weeks ago, I had only watch the og adaptation before, I have to say that I love Brotherhood more, but still hold the og dear since I watch it in my childhood. You guys are in for an amazing ride (I'm still not over that you guys decide to watch the dub tho :c)

i always laugh at the line delivery when al says “no food, no water, no nothing” lmao he was so fed up. izumi’s backstory is so sad and unfortunate. it’s crazy looking at it now how great the writing is, especially for the characters. every character has a purpose in the show. i’m so excited for y’all to see the next episodes!!!!

This show is so good. It has such dark themes, which is why I think it has its silly bits built in, because otherwise it would be so sad all the time. I'm someone who cringes when an anime goes "too out there" with its silliness, but this show balances it well.

Cannons getting really good at predicting lately lol. I love this episode. I love izumi and sig, they're such a loving couple even though they seem scary on the outside. Her backstory is another thing that makes me feel more connected to the story, my mom met my stepdad and they decided they wanted their own child and got a tube reversal. They got pregnant pretty fast but we lost my little brother halfway through the pregnancy because my mama got sick and she herself almost died :(. I can't wait for y'all to meet some of the new characters, we meet one of my favorite ones soon. You'll get an answer to all your questions!!

Idk if you guys figured it out or if anyone's told you yet but the symbol on Ed's red coat and Izumi's tattoo is called Flamel's Cross. Just like a lot of things in this show, it's based on actual alchemical theories from ancient times. The cross was named after a Nicolas Flamel who was considered sort of an alchemist himself after his death.
