That's the beauty of hunter x hunter, each arc is interesting on its own. Glad that Jack likes it so far, many might not think highly of Greed Island arc but it's a crucial part of hxh in my opinion.

That moment is such a sweet moment. I remember in the last few episodes Carter and Canon had mentioned that they are not that attached to Gon and Killua, I mean, how can you not be after watching that moment!!

Onepace makes onepiece shorter by cutting out some stuff that the anime added over the original manga source, its a group who edits the episodes and cut the things out which can be alot of time over 1000 episodes, pretty nice if any of you wanna watch it.

My guys, Ging did not leave any clue in the cassette tape, he just left a ring and memory card! What makes you think he would have left any clues in the game?? Heck, he did not even mention the name of the game, the boys had to figure it out from the memory card. Though Jack is correct, Gon can find some clues to Ging's personality through the game, and they/we don't really know what happens if we clear the game (more clues perhaps??), so I don't think you should lower your anticipation just yet! And yes, there is quite the tonal shift in the show, it always goes from light to dark - hunter exam (light), Killua's family Zoldyck arc (dark), Heaven's arena (light), Phantom Troupe (dark). So, would need a bit of time to get used to it! Togashi is a hardcore gamer, I am sure he had a blast writing this arc. As Jack rightly pointed out, we are at the rules and world building stage, so sit back and enjoy (don't worry about preconceived notions, enjoy the ride! There are some amazing moments incoming :D).

Yaaaay I love this arc. Not only did Togashi create solid languages in this world, but also a detailed RPG game. Crazy, and I love it! I gotta pay even more attention now to not be left behind.

Most people find this arc boring after the craziness Yorknew was, but it has epic moments and key plot points that I guess some people miss to say this arc is filler when is clearly not. My recommendation is to not pay too much attention on reading what cards do, all the important ones gets explained by the characters, I dunno where are you guys watching now, but crunchyroll subs separate better the dialog and the card translation, I find it hard to read when both shows at the same time here, I dunno about you, the font is tiny too and I was watching on my phone so lol Hopefully you get to enjoy this new arc!

greed island is fire and so unique. i cant believe they are almost to chimera ant.(top 1 arc ever imo) its not that its perfect its just that it has the highest highs ive seen and can pull the right emotion out of you at any moment.(plus character arcs come full circle)

Just watch the arc and make up your own opinion (like all other arcs) -- too many people trash it for silly reasons, trying to anticipate reactors. Like Ging said, "enjoy yourself" > > Yes, nobody's ever cleared the game. You can exit the game using a spell card like Leave. The new players were sent out of the game to automatically remove the spells that were placed on them by random noob-crushers. You can rewatch that scene to get clarity.

The thing about Greed Island they cut down on everything that would make the arc unique: the rpg/online gaming aspects. *Minor spoiler* the moment Gon and Killua can pause training and actually start playing the game and collecting cards, the series glides through it in the span of like an episode and then go straight to the boss fight; the show spent so much time making the viewer anticipate the game, yet when we get it they just make it your average (albeit good) training arc.

every arc of hxh is just so different and unique from the previous and it makes the whole show just so enjoyable to watch. I personally thought this arc was a fun time and hope yall enjoy it as well :)

honestly, I agree, it ain't that this is a bad arc, it is very good! It is just very unlucky and is smushed right in between two of the greatest arcs in anime. So its very easy to think negative about it in comparison to the previous arc and the arc after Greed Island

episode number for arcs is totally a spoiler, it lets them know what to expect. Let's take Yorknew for example, imagine they knew exactly at what episode the arc really ended at, do you think you'd get the reaction of them being confused at the abrubt end of the arc when they reached that ep? Its the exact same as saying, this specific epsiodes is really good, just let them get to it and decide for themselves. thats how its a spoiler, they didnt ask for the details about episodes, in the reaction the guys specifically didn't tell them because it would be a spoiler, or were you too busy googling wikipedia to hear that?

It's the writer Togashi, you see if he has an idea, something intriguing that gave him interest to put them to work. He finds a way to immediately turn that around and move it to next chapter. Greed Island was inspired by YuGiOh (All greed island arc cards was specifically made by him originally) so he was writing everything in the pace that he wanted throughout Greed Island Arc. Your expectations were too high, thats why it disappointed you when it came and honestly, my guess is he got bored thought of something new and move on that's why it was a quick arc. But' i don't blame you going into a game that Ging made and just quickly finish so abruptly is a let down so much could've happened, but he made it a training arc just because something caught his attention the chim***arc.

idk personally I think it depends on the person. If the Geks don't consider episode numbers spoilers then it should be fine to tell them (idk if they do though). Some people like to go into shows fully blind and just enjoy the ride without knowing when certain arcs will stop and start, what arcs are GOATED, etc (me personally). The Geks don't strike me as those type of people though given how much Brig tells them lol.

Brig and Mckay didn't tell them for a reason. They didn't watch any of the aot openings because they didn't want *any* spoilers. There is literally 0 reasons to tell them all this information about when the arcs end and start. Even if it doesn't fit your definition of spoilers, I don't understand why you think they need this information?

Just so you know there's a big difference between "telling" and "seeing". Yes, it would be a spoiler watching the trailer (visually), but telling them the number of arcs isn't. People like you are just so paranoid over small things I can't imagine how you live everyday. Greed Island Arc Episode 1-17 a spoiler? beginning to end? Do you really want to know what a SPOILER looks like? Because, I can show you a whole list of REAL definitions from this arc to the end of it. Just to show you the difference. Do you understand? Don't forget the currency in this show is more like Japanese yen (so each unit is closer to an American cent than an American dollar), in Heavens arena on the first floor they won 152 jenny, which exactly covered the cost of a soda from the vending machine. So a billion jenny is closer to like 10 million dollars, so the 30 billion jenny each greed island was sold for is closer to 300 million dollars, which is still completely insane, but it's more feasible.

I really enjoyed this arc in the manga because throughout the whole manga Togashi was saying how he likes board games and how he loves card games and well in here, he just had the space to express his love towards card games. Every manga chapter ended with detailed descriptions of "random" cards and I really loved that.
