Couldn't resist and just subscribed to your guys' Patreon 🥲

Devzy 793

I'm about to binge everything you uploaded this weekend, I'm so hyped!

T. Law

"How is this guy the leader? I feel like both of them would smack him." WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!?!!! Cannon, I like you but don't say such things about my beast titan, NEVER EVER!!!!!

Lisa Marie

Change the batteries in your fire alarm, dudes. I keep thinking it's mine😂I was like Phoebe from Friends with all three of mine for a couple of days last month😭😅

iaani

Same. Didn't think I'd rewatch it again but here we are, it's too addicting :')

Justin Callang

I always found it so interesting how they introduced Ymir’s backstory in Season 2. In the manga, her backstory wasn’t revealed until Chapter 89, which is in Volume 22 (which is around the finale of Season 3 story wise). Isayama and the anime adaptation writers definitely were colluding so they could make the anime onlys go crazy with their theories at that point in the show😂. It’s crazy how they revealed so much but with little to no context. Cannon and Carter’s theory board may need to be upgraded to a classroom size white board lol!

Saphira

I love how you theorise everything bcs sometimes im like “wow you’re getting way too close” but then there are times when you are way too off and i have to suppress myself😂 Not saying what applied to this episodes thoughts though!

Saphira

Was Cannon whistling that one epic song from aot? 👀👀

Anonymous

I absolutely love your content. You guys should create a discord server! I think it would be great to interact with others who also enjoy your content. I could help admin LMAO

vee

So early that the title says Attack on Tita 🥴😹

T. Law

Is there something with Cannon's knee? Just.. a feeling. I hope he's feeling well.

T. Law

The way Cannon holds the marker and still has good handwriting.. that's new.

iaani

These last few episodes rattled my brain when I first rewatched them. Idk if you guys already mentioned it, I started watching from s2 onwards, but are Jackson, Mckay and Brig all caught up to S4 part 2?

Linnea anderson

reiner = split personality, dude started believing his own lies. I do recommend rewatching if you feel like it just cause you might notice some funeastereggs, I'd point them out but idk if you prefer to rewatch it and see if you can find it yourselves

Sean Carroll

i prefer it in season 2 personally, the mind blowing nature of it throws us for a loop but the people paying the most attention can figure things out whereas if it was revealed like it was in the manga it would have been after we understand

Mia Malvik

Cannon conditioning himself to not hear the smoke detector is slightly worrying lmao

The Owl

This show is absolutely built to watch at least twice

The Owl

This show is built to watch at least twice - the second time is basically a completely new experience because of all the hidden clues & details that are embedded in the script that you cannot notice the first time, or that you don't have all the context for.

Con Wunder

I think after every show you're done with you should hang a poster on the wall with that show. That way people know what shows you've watched

Justin Callang

Yeah I agree, especially since Season 2 had been building up Ymir as a character, it makes sense to give her backstory here. I don’t know if it was a choice of the adaptation writers or Isayama himself or both, but I’m pretty sure Isayama had a say in it. I think Isayama’s involvement with the writing for the anime also allows him to make some revisions and clean up some pacing issues that were present in the manga (this is especially evident with the first half of Season 3 as I think the story structure of it was better executed in the anime than in the manga).

Anonymous

I'll tell you what, in terms of writing, Season 2 episode 10 is the weakest Attack on Titan gets. The reason why is probably because the author didn't know what direction to take the story. It works out in the end, just with a few retcons and information that characters couldn't have known without said retcons.

Anonymous

The uploads have been so good guys, only thing that could top it would be the last 2 episodes to finish the season! Keep it up guys, looking forward to more.

Anonymous

I have watched all AoT seasons so many times but I still find some Easter eggs from episodes what I haven't notice before. I started to watch all the episodes again before new season will come out, then youtube recommended you and here I am in Patreon watching you. I love how your reactions isn't over acted so it's really fun to watch. Can't wait to see 2nd season's finale and you to start watch season 3 which is my personal favorite from all the seasons. And greetings from Finland!

Shiro

Haha, I was like this too while watching season 2… I couldn’t understand why Reiner wanted to take Christa to his hometown and was desperately hoping that it wasn’t some stupid reason as him having a crush on her. Here you have a story with extraordinary stakes of giant cannibalistic monsters, people dying, many mysteries… and if the reason turns out to be some stupid high school love story between Reiner and Christa, I would’ve flipped 😅😂

Carter DeWitt

The best part about this show, is that it just keeps getting better and better. Love it

The Owl

I agree, I found it interesting that they felt this way. I remember when I saw the Beast Titan for the first time, it absolutely terrified me. Something about how it toyed with Miche's life, seemingly for fun / sinister curiosity, shook me to my core.

Zena

What a great episode, honestly this episode throws me because I forgot so much about season 2, I love remembering the little details. So much information to process! Can’t wait to see more

Zena

Btw guys I love that you do your weekly episodes during the weekend! It’s nice to watch them all on non work days😂👌🏻

The Owl

I haven't read the manga, but I've heard a lot of people say this as well - that the anime does a good job with revisions that improve the original script in terms of pacing, etc. After seeing seasons 1-3 a few times, I really appreciate the execution of Ymir's backstory (S2 ep's 9+10) in the anime. They did a fantastic job of revealing a lot without revealing anything because you simply don't have all the context yet. Plus, there are so many big revelations happening at this time in the story that it gets drowned out a little. It's only on the second viewing that you can fully appreciate what we are truly being shown.

The Owl

I pick up new things every single time I watch AoT, and it really makes you appreciate the attention to detail, hard work, and talent that the anime studio & original author put into this show.

The Owl

Props to Cannon & Carter for your attention to detail in these last few episodes. You guys are both picking up on what you're supposed to be picking up on, and being confused by what you are supposed to be confused about. Trust the writer :) There is a TON of details, questions, etc. thrown at the viewer, and it's all VERY confusing on your first viewing - but it's all by design. The author is very specific with the information he gives us at very specific times. Like McKay said: it will ALL make sense. Just not before the author decides you're ready (lol).

The Owl

I say this with no exaggeration - this show has one of the best-written payoffs I’ve ever experienced in any story. Maybe *the* best.

ZYGGY

You guys should totally watch the Ilse's Notebook OVA. It's 1 episode, and it isn't a must-watch but is VERY interesting at this part of the story.

IchiGoat

you guys need to react to attack on titan in 9 minutes

Gabriel Alexander

My guy on the right, come on, let them theorize on their own you keep interrupting their train of thought and correcting them when you already know what happens, please stop it, it's really annoying.

The Owl

Regarding the release schedule: I work in content-creation, and I’ve learned that the smartest schedule is to pace for whatever is comfortable for the editor. Just consistently produce what you can without burning-out! When it comes to editing - if you’re falling behind your deadline goal, remember: “imperfect & published is BETTER than perfect & unpublished.” Keep up the great work!

Zain Ali

episode 11 and 12 of season 2 are IMO the most underrated episodes in the whole series. They're so good but due to all the other amazing episodes that follow they get forgotten about a bit.

Jeffrey

I've lost count on how many times I've rewatched this series with new reactors, but I usually do it before the next season or part so I can remember all the details. But I always end up learning some new detail or easter egg that I didn't notice before. Glad I found their channel; they're really invested in the story now and they're actually going to catch up before the new release.

studiogek

Thanks so much for this comment!!! Definitely a great thought process right there going forward

studiogek

Cant wait for our eventual rewatch of the show. We kinda already started it with one of our cousins who we were hanging out with last weekend and we watched episodes 1-5 of season 1 and it was WILD

DovaBro

Dont rewatch now... u guys know nothing yet... watch after you saw it all then its worth 10x more rewatching

DovaBro

How many h left for new ep?

Lambert Lasnier

Im tryna stack episodes to have a big 2h video of reactions from.you guys! Keep it up guys, we love it!

esie ♡︎

it’s also so nice to be able to rewatch it again with them before the Season 4 Part 3 comes out. Can’t wait for all of us to watch new stuff together! Which makes me wonder if they will live stream the new episodes so we can tune in together? 🤔

esie ♡︎

lmao unpopular opinion here, but i really hate the beast titan. 🫢😂

IchiGoat

bro i just keep refreshing for ep 11😂 it’s so hype along with ep 6 and 7 in season 2

Taha Faiq

Episode 12 is literally my favorite episode. So fucking good

A

lol I might do this with the beginning of s3

studiogek

Oh Saphira, we have all had it engrained in our minds for literally days lol

studiogek

Probably around 2. 11 Should be up by 2:30 PST and 12 should be up by 4:30

studiogek

CANT WAIT for your guys thoughts on our episode 11 and 12! 11 Should be out around 2:30 PST and 12 should be out around 4:30!

DovaBro

So last 2 episodes of season 2 will come next week? Is this what u mean by 2. 11

Anonymous

can't wait to see ur reactions when you'll finally get answers to your questions through the show

RICARDO VERAS

Keep killing the reaction fellas!

T. Law

Well, welcome to Cannon's fan club❤️. (I started feeling as if I'm welcoming people into a cult😂). Edit: why is patreon moving my comments somewhere else!!!

esie ♡︎

love your discussion at the end. when Carter says “whatever good is” and Cannon says it’s all perception. It just reminds of that quote, “Nobody is a villain in their own story. We’re all the heroes of our own stories”.

Julia Perez

Uh completely disagree 😂 I’m curious, so I’d ask for examples, but I don’t want to spoil anything

Jag_227

I love how you described the feeling of "desperation" of Reiner, Bert, and Ymir in this episode. It's crazy looking back on this, just how monumental the events of this episode really are.

Jake the Movie Geek

Next two tonight! Are you guys doing a season 2 review?

Jag_227

"She's probably just waiting for Christa to show up." Jackson....

Anonymous

I love these reactions, can't wait for you guys to make it to season 4!

Shiro

I know, right? I guess it is really very hard to contain spoilers - whether direct or indirect, major or minor...

Northyee

after a whole 2+ minute conversation between reiner bertholdt and ymir trying to convince them to go back for christa... it's not very shocking that ymir was there waiting for christa

Jag_227

Mckay is very considerate about his comments. And is cool with being silent sometimes. Mckay is MVP. Hot take

Jawrool

@Jag_2237 not a hot take. Brig is just being goofy a lot of the time, but sometimes I feel like his comments could lead on a thought pattern for the others. Jackson just says things right before they happen which I know is hard but yeah, McKay keeping it quiet is probably for the best.

Synad

Good lord I just want to see you guys get to the last two episodes, I keep refreshing to just maybe get to see the 11th up.

The Owl

Did you guys notice the steam coming from Eren's head when he was injured in ODM training? :D

metalgearbear

The discussions these episodes are producing!! Ymir is a fairly complex character and it's like whiplash having to digest so much of that complexity in a short window of time. That's part of what I love about this anime. It barely gives you a moment to process what you learn before it's chucking more at you.

Jake the Movie Geek

You guys are going to need a bigger whiteboard lol

Lag Sold

They should’ve made Ymir’s pure titan look different bc it causes confusion

Anonymous

Love the whistling at the end.

Anonymous

I think it was purposely made to look the same so Reiner and Bertholdt could have that realization that she ate their friend.

lydia

I don’t see that as a spoiler lol. He’s just reaffirming about what’s happening in that scene.

Lag Sold

No that doesn’t make sense bc they would’ve known it was her still bc she would have jaw powers

chaosmerchant

Omg Carter, you’re sooo perceptive with realising there’s a desperation between the three of them (Ymir, B and Reiner)

Jeffrey

haha, right? I couldn't possibly fit all my theories on that thing

Jeffrey

It does cause confusion because it changes your line of thinking about how people can transform into titans. I didn't pick up on it until they smacked it across my face in season 3.

Jeffrey

This is such a great episode. So many hints and details that lead to nothing but more questions and theories, but after a rewatch or two, it makes so much sense.

Abigail Jerry

Listen… the way these characters play out… PEAK 🔥

Anonymous

The 2 guys who are watching this for the first time have a much better concept of the storytelling and the messages this show conveys without having all the information yet.

SlightlyBetterPudding

I'm sure its been said numerous times but: ask your questions, form your theories, try to pay attention to the SMALLEST details, it REALLY matters. But know that in time, all of your questions will have answers, and then you'll have more questions

Aras Paty

The backstory of Ymir and her important role in the show is necessary but i never cared for her at all, especially her and História together.

DerekSniper30

You guys are going to love the rest of this season.

Anonymous

I never really care for Ymir's backstory. But there is a hint to the biggest plot ever.... Just so you know her true name is unknown. I'll just stop there.

Esteban Garza

Here in hopes you guys watch Vinland saga

Knowledge Minaia

Um this episode literally gives so many hints to future plot points in the storyline but because they are set up in such a subtle way, it’s impossible to pick up on first watch. The only other way that they could have possibly picked up on hints during this episode on first watch is if they watched the very first OVA ( ilse’s notebook ) before hand, which is pretty important too cause the OVA has connections to this episode and future episodes as well. They should have watched that before starting season 2 but anyways it is what it is. The reason why everyone who watches this anime needs to pay attention to even the smallest of details is because every episode in AOT contains hints for future episodes. The way I see it, this is the most important episode of season 2 but it’s underrated because a lot of fans just don’t care about Ymir at this point and not knowing that her story is important but it’s ok. That’s why rewatching AOT is a must do

rayman

lydia but there's absolutely no reason to, as you and the character are starting to realize what she's really doing as the scene plays out. It's just completely unnecessary to say that right before it's revealed what she's about to do. Let the scene speak for itself

tas

I hope Carter and cannon understand Ymir better now that theyve seen the show. Idk about McKay but Jack seemed to understand her better. And I'm not sure how Brig still sees her as this villain even tho he's seen the entire show at this point. Maybe he's just too stubborn to see it on the rewatch because he made up his mind about hating her. But she's clearly someone who's had a shitty life and childhood. She was doing what she could to survive but she wanted to be true to herself. And she wanted the same for Historia and Sasha. She knew that the the walls would eventually be attacked for their resources, so she lied in order to get Historia to the safe side. And then she sacrifices herself for Reiner and Bert. She's the most selfless and beautiful character in the show.
