I showed my brother this show. We watched the dub while Reiner says “5 years ago we launched an attack on humanity” my brother was saying to me: “You know I think Reiner is my favorite character. He’s just so cool” And then when Reiner said “I’m the armored titan he’s the colossal” my brother said “Wait, what did he just say” And literally for multiple episodes my brother was grieving like Eren in that scene. And then he was all “die you traitors!”

The sub is good too I've watched both. Each have moments better than the other. Episode 4x20 is an absolute treat in sub totally outclasses the Dub in every way. Season 2 is superior in Dub as a whole.

Finally! one of AOT's major checkpoints. Also opinion - i think watching opening, as well as the title, and end credits (and post credits if available) is part of the AOT experience, regardless if it's spoiler or not. Most of the time you'd not know it's a spoiler until you reach it anyway. i think the only thing to avoid, really, is the preview for the next episode.

Ok so I recommend you go back to episode 5 and rewatch the scene where the tower falls and ymir goes up and tell them to grap onto her. You will see Bertholt about to bite his thumb, it's a little foreshadow that you thankfully didn't notice lol. By now the opening should be find to watch and also the last episode of this season has a post credit scene, just wanted to let you know...

in the manga when reiner reveals it to Eren they are standing in the total background of the page and the speech bubble is also small, it is masterfully done to cause you to take a second look to make sure you read or heard it right. Youd be surprised but some reactors actually miss the mention of it altogether

The build up on that scene was insane it was like watching it for the first time again. I honestly forgot Riener so nonchalantly mentions it before they transform. It gave me chills seeing it again and you can so clearly hear the anguish in Eren’s voice realizing that what Armin and Hangie predicted came to fruition. Eren so desperately hopes that none of his comrades can do such terrible things. (I hope I didn’t butcher their names 😅)

I'll let you guys in on a little of my AOT experience. Of course when I first saw Attack on Titan I was like, "This music is epic, I gotta look up these songs". They didn't have them on Spotify yet so I used Youtube. Somebody posted a youtube video of the music with some artwork of the characters and I was like, "Oh, this is sick." So it showed the characters.. like, Eren, Reiner, Annie, Berthodolt.. and then after 30 seconds into the song it switched to their Titan forms.. I was so fucking spoiled.. Yet even then, this episode is still in my opinion one of the greatest anime reveals of all time. And I was STILL shocked. The way they just nonchalantly say, "5 years ago.. yada yada".. Everyone who reads that first line of dialogue doesn't even register it. It's not until the second line of dialogue where Reiner says, "I'm the Armored Titan and he's the Colossal Titan", that people are like.. WHATT?! P.S. - I never look up anything on Attack on Titan anymore outside of reactions and music on Spotify.

I could be wrong, but I don't think they can control their healing - I think it just takes a minute for the healing to kick in, so once it did he put it in the sling to hide the steam so the others wouldn't notice
