Ymir is a good person, she is just rough around the edges. All the things she says that makes her annoying is true for example what she told Sasha, it’s just her way of saying it. She is very important to the plot and has a big influence on the story

Especially the ending of season 2 really proves she isn’t selfish. But once understanding her backstory it totally makes sense why she’s living for herself. This is Cannon, and genuinely my thoughts on Ymir changed very fast. When all you see is her being super rude, she is hard to like. But when you start seeing her sacrifice herself for the other scouts and how much she cares about Historia, paradigm shift

FYI, remember that episode 1(s2) starts with the reveal of a titan being inside the walls. afterwards we get the interaction between hange and pastor nick, shortly after we cut back to the events of what has been going on with Conny, Sasha and the rest of the new scouts. Remember that all of this happens 12 hours prior to all of the events taking place in episode 25 of season 1. Basically, none of them are aware of the situation with Annie and anything else that happened within the walls of Sina. they are clueless. Just wanted to point this out as there seemed to have been some confusion with the story jumping back and forth in time. On a sidenote, I've been watching this whole thing with my gf since ep.1 and its been a blast. We can't wait to watch you guys react to the rest of the story!

I definitely prefer the anime in Japanese, but if there's ONE scene I recommend watching in English, its the one where he's calling them traitors. His English VA did such a good job capturing the emotion.
