Some use streamable and some upload the uncut on YouTube as unlisted (not sure if this affects copyright or not). But uploading it to third party websites does make it easier for others to steal it and upload it into leaks sites

The badge levi gave dieter was most likely petra's, you can see him taking it after the scene showing the bitten hand of someone who died. He lied and gave away the only thing he had to remember those who died just to comfort dieter It is subtly implied by the way the characters speak/act towards one another + japanese culture that petra and levi liked each other so it hits specially harder when levi passes through the other 3 guys but stops and looks at petra's dead body

Btw the patch that Levi gave to Dieter wasn’t from Ivan’s jacket like he said, Levi got the patch off of Petra’s jacket. He likely wanted to give it to her father or keep for himself, but instead gave it to Dieter to give him some form of peace. One of my biggest reasons for Levi being my favorite character. Such an intentional and well rounded character!

I’ve seen creators use Dropbox, Vimeo, and Dailymotion. They set up password for each upload and post it on patreon so only patrons can get access to those videos. But for me I think just posting on patreon is totally fine. It’s more convenient too

Starting from this episode I understand why everybody loves Levi. This man is the best. He might look emotionless but he is actually the most caring character of all imo. It’s just his way of loving is not verbal so it’s hard to notice. He is a man of action.
