Bronn put up 20 in the first quarter. You think the game is wraps, then Stannis comes out, brings it back. Tyrion does a halftime speech to keep the teams morale, but Stannis still takes the lead going into the fourth. Then Tywin and Loras bring it home for the Lannisters.

Cersei’s speech to Sansa was cool and all but Stannis is famous for keeping his men in line. There is no way he would ever allow the looting and raping of the Red Keep, especially among the high born women.

To answer Jackson's question about if Heart eater is valerian steel, it's not. Most great houses in Westeros have a valerian steel sword but the lannisters don't, adding to their saltiness. They do now have possession of Ice though, the stark's valerian steel greatsword. The same sword they used to decapitate poor old dead Ned.

The scene with Bronn and the Hound always reminds me of when Frodo drops the rings on Mt. Caradhras, when Aragorn has to tell Boromir to give it back. So much tension, most the acting being done with facial expressions and eyes, where you don't have to focus on their words.

Stannis doesn’t have 100k men. The Tyrells took their troops after Renly’s death. Stannis probably has around 30k. The Tyrells control the most populous region and have the largest army around 70k so when they showed up with Tywin it was over for Stannis.

Glad you guys appreciate Bronn. He’s actually my favorite character in the series. He’s badass, is always ready for the smoke, has witty/wise dialogue and his relationship with Tyrion is great. Also his actor Jerome Flynn was a pretty famous British singer which is why they gave him scenes to show off his voice.

If Stannis and Renly had joined forces, King's Landing would have 100% fallen. The only reason Stannis lost was the Tyrells, who would have been on their side if Renly hadn't been killed. Also, Jaime might still have been in the custody of Robb if this had happened. It's crazy how they made it so far even with the wildfire destroying so much of Stannis' fleet though. I imagine that if Renly had survived, Stannis would still lead the battle along with Loras. The ideal situation would be one of them as king and the other as hand. It's entirely possible Renly would've just died in the battle anyway lol.

i was frustrated with sansa too but at the end of the day she does not know this man and has been told to not trust anyone, just bc he saved her once does not mean he won’t hurt her. And maybe she didn’t want to risk getting caught fleeing, or thought stannis would win which in that case she would be safer there as stannis would not hurt her

I think Cersei was remembering how Tywin’s men raped and plundered the women of the city when Robert took the throne. If her father allowed it then she probably assumed Stannis would too. That is from the lore videos. These guys are missing it a bit because they skipped the History & Lore videos. But it is still very entertaining to watch them. They just may be confused a little since they don’t have the background info. Personally I would rather have this faster release schedule then lore.

In case it was missed - the doll Sansa was holding was the last gift Ned gave her back in season 1 that she had rejected at the time. The fact she keeps it and looks for it in times of distress is a nice touch

The show really downplayed the Sansa/Hound relationship and omitted so many of their scenes.It’s so important to both of their development in the books. But without that, him going to her room in the show just feels odd bc they’ve barely had any interactions.

Valyrian steel is super rare. Not many people have them right now. I think the only ones we have seen in the show so far are Ice (Ned’s very very large ancestral sword, which was then used to cut off his head), Longclaw (Jon’s sword given to him by Jeor Mormont, it was originally intended for Jorah before he was exiled), and the dagger used to try and kill Bran (also from HOTD). Ice should be passed on to Rob but it hasn’t been.

I feel like Cersei has always had a bit of a soft spot for Sansa. To an extent, she sympathizes with her woman-to-woman. I honestly think she sees herself in her a bit - a young girl who wanted to be queen only to have her naive dreams shattered by the reality of what that really means. Cersei recognizes how the system is made for men by men and how it subjugates women to reduced status and value. And yet, she still finds ways to harness whatever power she can within her means. I freaking love her. She is so menacing.
