My opinion on Hermerdinger is a bit different from yours. Is he straightforward and cute? Yes, but he has a lot to do with why Piltover is the way it is. He didn't do it purposely but he is the father of Piltover and has a lot of blind spots, you can see that in episode 5 during the concert. There are things going on all around him, messed up things, but he's just focused on the beauty in front of him. At least, by the end, he's trying to do better than he did in the past. BTW, there is a youtuber called Schnee who does amazing breakdowns on Arcane.

Absolutely agree! It is not an intentional thing he does. But it has caused suffering. My hopes with season 2 is that he realizes this and begins his quest to redeem himself and become more active in problem solving!
