See, I like all 3 Hobbit films (in fact they've all really grown on me quite a bit since rewatching a few times), but even I will still admit that BotFA is the weakest link. Good stuff, but it does seem slightly...off. My theory is that Bilbo, our main character, isn't really a driving factor in it. Yeah, he does stuff, but he's kind of just in the background more than any other film of the trilogy. I will say I really appreciate you giving it a little bit of the business. You guys are always very invested and passionate about the movies you watch, to the point where the cynical part of me wonders if it's more of an act than being genuine. It's actually nice to hear some harsher critique coming from you, if for no other reason than it reminds me that you're not just playing it up for the camera.
