April Update! +Patreon overhaul (Patreon)

Hello everyone! I've got some larger updates for you all today! (I was going to post this on the 1st but... not the best day for serious announcements.)

Rewards/Goals overhaul

Okay, so first off, I'm (slowly) moving forward on plans to re-vamp the reward structure here on my Patreon. I spent a long while wracking my brain for how to approach this, but it eventually led to the realization that it's really not all that complicated: at least in its current form, my Patreon page is a tip jar with benefits.

What's changing? Well to start with, I'm going to tweak the numbers on the current goals/milestones. It hasn't hit the milestone for monthly pictures pretty much since the start, and while I got into a pretty good rhythm of pictures every two months, that's entirely unofficial and messy and just... not how I want to be doing things. I want to be doing more pictures regardless, so I think what I'm going to do is throw that funding goal out the window and just do that. At least one picture per month if I can manage it, and I'll put some new funding goals in place that can make those pictures bigger, or open up options for a bigger request pool, stuff like that.

SO, tl;dr of that change is: I'll aim to work on a personal/Patreon piece once a month, with WIPs and early peeks for patrons to check out. In some cases, I'll take advantage of the new polling feature and let people submit requests and/or vote on ideas to work on next.

SizeCon and high-resolution images

What else? SizeCon is coming up pretty quick - it'll be July 29th-30th, in New York - and I'm aiming to prepare some prints to sell at the event. Some of these will be updated/remade images I've made previously, re-rendered to full 300dpi printable glory. Some will possibly be made for printing from the start.

I plan to throw these into the rewards here as well, as high-resolution images.  Depending on how well that works out - I haven't figured out yet how much that'll slow down my rendering process - high-res versions of some of my works might end up being a reward for the $3-5 mark, assuming I can do them monthly. Fingers crossed there!

Current projects

Last but not least, I've still got one suggested/requested piece from last month, which I'm just working on finishing now (Momoe's maw PoV). And I've got a bit of an idea bouncing around for an April piece, inspired by Easter-egg hunting (I'll explain more on that later). Those should come soon, hopefully.

I've got various other hopes and plans, though I'm trying not to bite off more than I can chew, still! I've done that far too many times lately and I really want to make this keep working. I'll share more details soon on any other reward changes I come up with, my ultimate goal here is to streamline the whole thing and aim to make those $1+ pledges feel a little more meaningful overall.
