2023's first experiments (Patreon)

A belated happy new year, everyone! I'm starting things off with something a bit different, but not too different; I believe I did share a bit of experimental rough animations last year, and here I am doing it again!

As before, the same disclaimers apply. I don't intend to finish these, though it would be great if I could. They're just for-fun experiments with animation, using the more limited tools that DAZ offers... I'm sure I could learn more with a program like Blender and create content that's even more impressive, but for now it's a time investment I'm simply not ready to make.

But! That's not to say I'll never do anything bigger. Like I said, I want to go bigger! I'm just setting the expectations low, don't want people to be waiting for content I don't know if I can actually make.

And on that, what's above is experimental twofold! A dragon model again, as well as being a simple rough try at animation. (A dragon OC that will eventually get a humanoid form too, but for now you get her as a proper dragon with bad rendering.)

Another new-ish character from an alternate setting - I'll share more of that later on as well - and an attempt to animate taking a bite from an oversized burger. Mostly getting halted by technical challenges on this one, but I may as well share the process all the same.

Whether or not I finish these, they're still content I've worked on, and that is part of the point of this Patreon page; to let you all see more behind the curtain of what I'm making. That's something I'd like to do more of, heading into 2023. Less worrying about what to post or not post, or what is or isn't finished enough. It's all still stuff I've made, and I want to let others be able to see it, and decide for themselves if they like it or not, rather than me trying to judge that on my own.
