Update + WIP dump - July 2021 (Patreon)

Have you ever just put something off for one day, only to next remember it was a thing three days later? Or a week? Or a whole month gone by before you realize it's been a whole month?

Yeah, that's where I've been at a lot, lately. Forgetting to make posts because I could have sworn I already posted something, or that it's been less time than it really has; putting off on projects because of busyness or stress, and suddenly it's been a week. And I'm not quite sure if it's simple forgetfulness or actual overstressing, because I've definitely been dealing with the latter but I don't really know what or how much that's been affecting...

...In any case! Not how I intended to start off an update post, but hopefully it's a bit of insight into some of the slowness lately, if not much of an excuse. And I am making progress on a few projects; struggling a bit to finish things, but as you can see above, there's a fair few new things I've been working on!

First one first, a new character design, someone soft and friendly-looking. I've done plenty of characters like this before, big tongues and big horns and buxom body shapes, but she'll hopefully still be fairly unique; she's mostly a bit of self-indulgence in her design, and hopefully in personality too, which I'll share once I've figured a bit more out! Honestly I'm not even sure yet if she's a Paeran or just someone with very Paeran-esque traits, but rest assured she's a hungry pred :D

Second one down is something else I've been thinking about lately, and she is already established to be a Paeran. A catgirl one, which I haven't made a new one of in some time, and experimenting with more variety in skin tone too, since I don't do nearly enough of that. Not shown yet but she's also going to be a catgirl with an especially long tongue, just for some extra variety and because lately I've been doing a lot of bulky tongues instead.

And third (last) is that cow-roommate design from the June WIP dump! Only now she's much more finished, and has a name: Eloise. She's been going a bit slower now that it's down to smaller details and finishing, but she's nearly there; next up with her will be her not-cow roommate, likely a smaller elf girl she's known since childhood and got pulled into Paeratopa alongside.

What else? Well, the projects from my last few posts are all still progressing too, just at various speeds. The Momiji scene teased in the June update, the character design of Lila; latter has been extra-slow because she's a character I'm not always in the mood for, but she's fairly well-established in my head otherwise. The Lissa scene from my birthday post is also nearly finished, just got a bit stuck on perfectionism details.

And, oh, there is one more bit of news! Still not quite sure why or how, but I've gotten my work featured in yet another gallery show recently, this time in Paris: "theogre.net" in Galerie Suzanne Tarasieve, a show that (to my understanding, it's originally in French) is focused on the internets and its consumption of our data and attention. Which I assume is why my vore arts were something they wanted to include. :D

It's a fascinating experience, seeing (again) my art printed out and on display, in countries across the world. One of these days perhaps I'll be more able to travel, and actually get to visit some of these places!

So yeah, plenty of stuff in the works (still), though I've been struggling to finish things for a little while now. But hopefully soon; I'd like to get those two bigger scenes done, since they're both supposed to be self-indulgences to begin with. Likewise with all of the characters. And after some of that's been cleared away, I really want to re-open commissions again too, even if it ends up just being one or two at a time; besides the security of the extra income from them, it's just enjoyable to create art for others, to make stuff that makes people happy like that.

So yeah. Been weird, but fingers crossed! And thank you to everyone who's bore with me through this honestly quite slow year and then some. I really appreciate you all. ^^
