It's our monthly recap of sexy, Los Angeles-set, 1990s television!

First up on Beverly Hills, 90210, it's the wild season two finale, "Wedding Bell Blues"! Originally airing back on May 7, 1992, this ep features Jim Walsh losing his mind over Brenda and Dylan's secret Mexico trip, Kelly Taylor getting closer to the Riverboat Strangler, and Jackie Taylor and Mel Silver finally tying the knot... at the Walsh house!

Then up the street on Melrose Place, we're talking about the unfortunately timed Christmas episode, "Under the Mistletoe," which first hit the air on December 22, 1993! This MP ep has Michael feuding with an in-home nurse while he tries to destroy Jane and Robert's Christmas, Billy refusing to get back with Alison while playing Santa Claus, Sydney quitting her escort job... for now, and poor Matt throwing little Nikki a Christmas party before having to toss her on a plane back to Moscow, never to be seen again!

MELR0210 is a WHM podcast where the guys blissfully stroll through the Beverly Hills, 90210 and Melrose Place timelines. The TV episodes covered will run in broadcast order, but they may skip duller 'sodes in order to keep the focus on the nitty, the gritty, and the downright bizarre. Thanks so much for continuing to support the WHM Patreon!

Okay, gang, who do YOU think won the White Riot this week? - Andrew

Frank Grimes

On your tangent about suitcases...I absolutely hate that crap too...like if they're offering to check it in for free...just fucking take it

Justine Prudhomme

"Just say you want to fuck your dad." Oof. I have feeling that Steve is gonna regret those words in a few months.

Does anyone remember when the 90210 crew is looked over by angels who make them avoid a tragic bus crash by making the bus basically a ghost bus? It could easily be another show, I watched this shit when I was 10. I saw a lot of 90210 and Melrose because my older sister got the remote those nights and I dug ‘em.

Maurice Jones

I would give anything to go back in time and watch Dylan diss Mr. Walsh and then hop into a convertible with a bunch of people as an adult in 1992 ❤️

Justine Prudhomme

That would be 90210's next Christmas episode "It's a Totally Happening Life" (jeezy creezy). If the Gang didn't like the implication that Santa was real in the last Christmas ep, they are going to fucking hate this shit, lol.

TJ Guiney

on the one hand 90210 sounds like the better actual episode. on the other melrose place had Russia’s Littlest Secret Agent so it’s hard to say

TJ Guiney

I am in DESPAIR realizing that I have to wait until october 2024 to hear the gang watch this episode

Troy Thompson

"Rekindle the bang." 🤣
