On this month's WLM, the Summer Blockbuster Extravaganza once again spills over onto the Patreon feed as we discuss one of the all-time great MCU films, Shane Black's Iron Man 3! How thrilling is it to have such a "small" story for this film, a welcomed shift from all the universe-ending Avengers-related stuff? Is the Air Force One rescue scene the best Iron Man action sequence we've seen to date? And wow, did we really need to see how much of a cokehead Happy Hogan was circa Y2K? PLUS: The Mandarin demands world governments bring back cancelled TV shows he liked!

Was relistening to this and noticed the Peter theory thing, that was actually about the kid in the iron man mask at the world fair thing in 2 not the kid in 3, if there has ever been a theory like that about the kid in 3 then people be dumb.

NYE 2000 I went out just before midnight. I don't remember why, but driving down the freeway we were getting closer to an accident. I saw my first dead body, just there, lying on the road from the fatal crash. I won't ever forget where I was during Y2K!

love how they call out that Kiss Kiss Bang Bang was the real resurgence of RDJ. The Mandarin impressions need to happen more, along with more Heston from Soylent Green.

I never heard of the TY Simpkins character being Peter Parker theory..just the stupid one where hes the kid in the Iron Man 2 during the drone battle.

I like a lot of Shane Black movies and I like Iron Man 3 mostly, but man the third act/final battle just sucks.

I hated this movie. I thought it was the worse. Only thing I liked was RDJ and the little boy. I’ve rewatched it and still fill the same way.
