On this month's Gleep Glossary entry, the guys continue the saga of Palpatine's lesser-relatives as they hear the story of Triclops: father of Ken, and son of Emperor Palpatine! What was the deal with all that imperial electroshock torture? Was the Emperor really disgusted at Triclops's appearance? And how exactly did Triclops just disappear into the galaxy, never to be seen again? PLUS: Why won't the Emperor just wrap it up?

The Ken Saga will be a nine movie series in the late 2030's for sure. The name Triclops will be said several times in every scene and two of the movies will actually be pretty good. Oh and the lack of context for the wider story is what makes these GG's so good. That and Cabin just hanging on as best he can. Don't let anyone tell you different.

Fun fact: Tri-Klops the He-Man character was supposed to be a good-guy, but somebody in the packaging dept. screwed up and put his toy in a villain’s box. Mattel just went with it and made him evil

Haha, I made the same mistake with Trioculus’ name when I read these. They were so weird even as a 12-year-old coming across them in my elementary school library. That didn’t stop me from using them as a basis for some good old-fashioned fan fiction as part of a creative writing assignment. I remember being kinda impressed with the amount of injury and death in these books, like how Cindel’s parents are casually killed off in that one Ewok movie. Lucas sure knew how to build a cold, cruel universe—you know, for kids!
