Holy moly, it's MELR0210! It's back... in pod form! Well, it was always in pod form, but now it's back and we're kicking things off with a super-sized episode! We're so excited to have you all along for the ride as we continue our journey back to the 1990s and collectively dream of the day when we can hang out on the beach again, visit a Shooter's pop-up, and maybe go for a ride in Dylan's cool car!

Up first on Beverly Hills, 90210, it's the penultimate episode of season one, "Spring Dance." Originally airing May 2, 1991, this episode has everything: Steve Sanders being a grade-A scumbag per usual, Brenda and Dylan getting. it. on, Donna buying a dress from the Gone with the Wind wardrobe department, Kelly and Brandon almost making out, David awarding some rich kid a free pizza, Andrea fantasizing about doing Texas Chain Saw Massacre cosplay, and Jim Walsh running around being a sneaky shutterbug!

Then over at Melrose Place, we meet the TV younger sister everyone loves to hate, Sydney Andrews! It's "Single White Sister," which originally aired on January 6, 1993. This episode features the Riverboat Strangler--er--Jake possibly looking to murder Jo on the beach, Allison being humiliated at Shooter's by Billy YET AGAIN, Rhonda accepting an awkward proposal from Terrence, and Jane's horrendous sister, Sydney drops in for an indefinite visit to everyone's favorite cursed apartment complex.

MELR0210 is a WHM podcast where the guys blissfully stroll through the Beverly Hills, 90210 and Melrose Place timelines. The TV episodes covered will run in broadcast order, but the gang may skip duller 'sodes in order to keep the focus on the nitty, the gritty, and the downright bizarre. Thanks so much for continuing to support our Patreon endeavor!

So where is the first 33 episodes of this? Can't find them.

Was already at $10, but had to "update" to the new tier manually. Just FYI for anyone else having issues.

Angel

I am upset you skipped Jake vs Jake. That is prime for Riverboat Strangler references. I hope you all come back to it eventually.

Stan Engle

God I was having a shit day, but your recap turned it right around!

Angel

Me too! I had a terrible day and it was a good way to end it. I laughed so hard.

Stan Engle

I was crying from laughter when they fired up Billy's toothless donkey voice!

Umm guys. Hitting a snag getting hold of Season 2 of BH. Completely unavailable in the UK. No streaming services, or second hand websites. Any suggestions??

TheBestMike

I'm so happy to have this show return! I had forgotten how happy the Billy impressions make me. In fact, I reckon I may re-listen to all the previous episode. Thanks fellas!

This is going to be a delight every month. The teens with problems show I used to watch was the OC and to this day I maintain that the first season is amazing and worth going back to. When I heard this was coming back I contemplated watching along but I really believe that this show is better when you have no idea what happens next. Thank you.

You guys, this was great! Thanks for doing this

I'm having the same issue from the uk - no streaming services are offering it out, and no torrents. Has anyone managed to get a hold of it in the uk?

Maggie0401

Emma, I did manage to find a DVD on ebay. Little over-priced, but it's good for two years worth of shows if the guys do one a month. You can get cheaper Region 1 DVDs. Most DVD players can by set to play Region 1 or 9.

Hey, I managed to find a dvd for only £8 from music magpie

Erin Hardy

I didn't realize how much I missed the Billy voice.

MELRO210 was a highlight of my pandemic summer. Had to upgrade to Walsh tier!

So glad MELR0210 is back! I missed this show SO much...it was like slipping into a warm bath. Though I am disappointed that we won't hear your thoughts on Matthew Perry as an uber-rich suicidal tennis champ.
