On this month's trip into the Nexus, the gang is chatting Trek episodes both wretched and excellent, yet equally horny!

First, over on TOS, it's "The Apple," which originally aired October 13th, 1967. It's the horrendous episode where Kirk & Company stumble across an alien race who have been ordered by a giant god creature to murder the Enterprise crew!

Then in "The Measure of a Man," an excellent episode of TNG that first aired on February 11th, 1989, Data resigns his Starfleet commission in order to avoid being dismantled by some scumbag Starfleet scientist!

PLUS: Kirk, Spock and Bones rumble with Birdo from Super Mario Bros. 2!

The Nexus is a We Hate Movies podcast where the guys futilely go through two Star Trek series at the same time. Thank you so much for continuing to support this weird thing known as WHM! We couldn't do it without you!

Classic TNG Episode

My favorite part of "The Apple" is at the end when Kirk tells all the people that they need to get started FUCKING.

G. T. Blackwell

Yes! One of my favorite TNG episodes!

Wow, Measure of a Man is peak TNG. Probably one of the best episodes you guys have done so far. It would be hard for any TOS episode to compete but “The Apple” is so bad it’s not even fair. That being said it was the only episode to become a toy playset for the Mego TOS figures in the 70s. So it’s got some interesting Trek history

Y'all should do a WLM on The Apple

That judge was definitely soaking wet after Picard’s badass summation. Even Riker got hard as a rock. OG.

What is the movie you guys are talking about at the start of this episode?
